Try this, very basic basic setup,
REAR: 27.5 weight, pink spring
FRONT: Blue spring, 30.0 weight
Pretty much stock everything else
Run 30wt with 2 hole 1.6 pistons. Instead of gluing and drilling just get the associated big bore pistons. black front springs with yellow buggy rears. 4 degree LRC toe block. 4 degrees anti-squat. 3oz weight replacing rear battery pad. battery position: 1 pad front / battery / 2 pads / 3oz weight 1/E rear camber link with 2mm shims on the outside and no shims inside. -1 degree camber.

I have found this to really lock in the rear and then you can just start adding in steering as needed for your track.

I run both. I change depending on traction for the most part. I'd like to try the Orion WTS battery.

I tried a shorty pack this weekend and could not believe the way it felt in the truck. I ran it in the center of the bat tray and the truck just felt so responsive and it felt like it had more forward punch.
I forgot to check my ride hight though with the shorty pack.
Decided to order one since I was borrowing one from a buddy since it is a good option to have.

Well... My diff went today. Havent taken it apart yet. Loosened in the third qualifier. I tightened it a ton but it only held on for 11 laps in the main then came loose again. bummer

I have noticed by ball Diff on my 22SCT becomes a lot looser then my 22 Buggy.

I'm guessing the thrust bearing is shot and the diff screw is backing out. Hopefully it just just needs a rebuild.

I got tired of worrying about ball diffs. I put in a gear diff, filled about 1/2 way with black grease. Now I don't have to worry about it. Feels the same to me, maybe better! I recommend keeping a couple extra idler gears though...

How have your lap times compared?

I was also Thinking about getting a gear diff to try. Seems some other brand guys swear by them.

Its funny, 2 other guys at my track put Gear Diffs in there 22SCTs.
Another guy put an Associated Gear diff in his Rango DESC210
And 2 good mates just put Rango Gear Diffs in there DEX210's....

Im seeing a theme here hahaha.

Now the question is do I try and Jam an Associated Gear Diff in the 22 or just get the Losi 22 gear diff...

Uhhhh, id go with the losi in this case!
interesting, I guess this thing has so much steering that a gear diff doesn't hugely affect it. cool.

First weekend with gear diff I had the fastest lap of the night (including buggy). I used a Losi gear diff. Not sure if the Assoc would fit. I have always liked Assoc ball diffs. They are much less finicky. Build with the good parts, tighten, back off 1/8 turn, run for about a month. Got a 22 last winter. Ball diff really needs rebuilt every week or two. -Not knocking Losi, I sold all my Assoc stuff and am now running the 22sct -loving it! It does everything very well! I am curious what Associated's next generation of buggy will be like. They've had a year to check out the Losi and Durango... (sorry, off topic) -back to the 22sct -did I mention I'm liking it?
