Got my 22SCT with it's Viper powered Mid-Motor setup built!!! The Traxxas captured ball cups worked perfect. Thanks to all the help from this forum. Another member on here sent me pictures of a Mid-Motor Setup using the regular length Lipo Batteries. WOW What a nice set up. I installed both sway bars kits and also the dirt cover. Very nice. The only question I have is: HOW TIGHT IS TOO TIGHT TO RUN THE BALL DIFF??? (I have only ever ran gear diff) I also used some fuel tubing and lowered both front and rear. I race on a smooth clay track and a carpet track. Let me race this setup and I will post the Setup if it works.

Root, What set up should i start with for my 22sct? Tight indoor clat track? I was thinking about your set up from Mikes.

Also i was looking on that set up. Can you explain the placment of the weights in the battery? And my moving the weights around what effect that has on a car?

I'd probably go with my setup, but please understand it was from Mike's Hobby Shop which was fairly low grip when I was there.

I run the Orion WTS battery with a bronze weight at the very end and a silver weight next to the bronze. I run 1 battery pad in the front, then the WTS pack with the battery cells towards the front of the chassis (weights in the rear), then all subsequent foam pads behind it.

Can anyone recommend good options for captured rod ends for replacing the stock TLR ends? Options for those that come in different colors would be killer.

Thanks for the great thread.

I was wondering if anyone had a good setup for a loose outdoor track? We don't see much indoor high grip in Australia, its more low traction outdoor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kit setup is supposed to be very forgiving, willing to bet that would be the way to go. These guys picked it as a base for a reason and they're pretty smart.

Just wanted to say I raced this for the first time Saturday. I've practiced every Sunday for a month. Finished 4th in the A main. Not only did I race this for the first time, I raced for the first time ever! Awesome truck.

Spent a good part of the day building my new 22 SC and must say the build went very easily. Losi did a great job on the fit and finish plus everything was laid out with nice directions and everything was labeled step by step so it was an easy build.

Love the shocks and they are super smooth. I did go with the Associated 12mm pistons as they are already drilled to what I wanted for my initial setup. About 10:30 pm I finished and took a few laps without the body just to check things out. I'm impressed with how this thing lands of jumps and sticks like glue on the landing. It jumps effortlessly and if I come up short no biggie as it sucks that up to. Can't wait to race it tonight. Thru a quick 1 color wonder paint job on last night that is nice and bright and I'm ready for the race day to begin.

Need to charge some packs and tighten the diff a tad and then get the slipper set where I want it. Then I will check my gearing as I just thru on 19 pinion to get my 9.5 going. Its fast already and will be faster later tonight.

hey guys, im wanting to run the 25* kick angle on this thing instead of 30

I dont find any of the parts for the sct, it seems they are only for the buggy and im not really sure what I need to run this.

would anyone be so kind to post the part numbers?

All the 22's use the same kick shims and pivot blocks. If you just want plastic it is p/n TLR1051 if you want aluminum and brass it is p/n TLR1049 and TLR1072
