I'm looking in to a carbon fiber hold down but its going to take a week to get looking to run this weekend
how are you useing the velcro straps? The entire strap should be above the battery. Look at figure E-9 in the manual.

If you have the strap go under the battery at all it will not hold it down in place properly. Velcro straps work great. There are carbon options from companies like JC and others.

I am assuming this is on power. What tires are you running? Blue or green front springs?

Learned my lesson the hard way....ran batt. between the straps, and it moved...crashed into my receiver & bent the plugs....ran the straps above the batt. and absolutely no movement.

If you have all your pads in there it shouldn't move. I run my batteries between the straps, always have.

But there's a small window in conditions that they really accell which is damp clay. Too wet and they slide because they're not deep enough, too dry and they dont bite. That's just my observations from using them. I went from PP's at all 4 corners to BC's rear and PP's up front, finally was happiest with BC's at all 4 corners.

I agree with Scott. Barcodes should have better side bite then a pressure point.

You might want to try moving out on the rear camber link to make it longer. Some like this change as well.

Remember, new tires always take a few packs to break in so try running them all morning/day. Once you have about 4 or 5 packs on them they should hopefully start to get really good depending on how the wear is at your home track. Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.
