the vts bolts on just like the sc104x4. it replaces the outer slipper plate and pad. Pick up a B44 splipper spring also. not a b44.2, a b44.

so do i just buy the vts kit? and the entire thing goes on the side of spur gear? do i need anything else besides the b44 spring?

bump steer is rarely changed. The only thing that is really changed much is shock setup, ball stud washers and maybe the A or C hub. And tires if you change tracks. I have tried creative tuning and always end up back at where everyone else is.

Could someone explain the A or C hub? Are they just a bit different in height, or what?

I'm really digging the Avid Triad slipper. It's pretty awesome.

Hi guys. I own the SC10 4x4 RTR and like it. Im thinking of getting one of these SC10 2x4 for my nephew whos 10 in a RTR. Have a few questions if anyone can help. He wont be racing or anything. Just bashing in the back yard.

Ive only ever owned brushless motors and simply run them and never look at them. With the SC10 RTR it comes with a 17T brushed motor. How long can this be run before it needs to be looked at, brushes etc? I dont want to be regularly maintaining it every week kind of thing.
Also, how powerful is this motor say compared to the 3500kv motor in the 4x4?

Thanks..

I bought my 5 year that set up in may,it lasted 5 mins and the Esc took a crap,I drove it down to ae and they replaced it with a new brushless set up for free, way better performance and you set it up like a castle Esc.stay away from the brushed truck, plus it helped that I'm 30 mins away from associated itself

That may have been a one off dud failure you got. Good service from them tho. Im hoping the 17T doesnt have too much performance compared to the 3500kv cos' that means more crashes and repairs for me haha.

Anyone else?

On my sons truck you can adjust your EPA,I just turned it all the way down
And it's perfect for him learning,as he gets better just turn it up slowly, trust me it's very common for the brushed system to fail and that was coming
From the tech at ae

I always check it on the chassis directly under the shock towers.
