i advise you to check yahoo weather for riyadh & kuwait . These temps recoreded in shade.
Thanks for advise about the xo-1 tires though. it won't help here during acceleration.

I can attest to that level of heat. Been to the area several times. No joke on the heat. People in the summer usually come out as the sun goes down. It's nothing to go shopping at a mall at midnight.

Not to shift the rc topics . Next thursday yahoo weather says it will hit 122F in shade in the gulf city of kuwait. in direct sunbeam it's over 137.

anyway, i hope it will become a little cooler next days during dawn for my speed runs.

Honestly i didn't use the amain brand protrek but i used many other brands, all will raise the left side a bit depinding on the capacity of the pack. for example all 2 packs of any 3S will raise the body. Also single 6S 5000 mah will left it also but you can still use it because from distance you'll never notice this different..

My advise check that battery dimension ( it's hight ) and you'll easily guess if it's perfect fit under the body or not.

Btw, how many cells that battery got ?

lol at direct "sunbeam". well it was 105 in the shade here (Houston Texas) last month so that's 120 in direct sunbeam. Yeah, we don't measure it that way.

Don't bust on him. He said 139° in the sun. That I can believe. You can actually burn the tops of your feet through black shoes over there!

I say go for that speed run!! Have a great time trying, and let us know the results

Try putting duct tape or something similar on the inside of the tire to prevent ballooning and exploding the tire. Use good glue, and plenty of it!

I think I remember seeing some people using high strength fishing line to keep the tires from ballooning too much. Get some high strength braid line and wrap it around a few times. Should be more than enough.
