i need some help here
i'm attempting to cross the 95mph line with the eb48 . required parts is now in Dubai and it should be come here tomorrow or on sunday.

i tried to calculate the speed through this website and i failed each time.
http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html

My setup is :
22.2 volt battery
2200kv motor
4.6 inch tire diameter
26t pinion
44t spur

i wish to know if it can go beyond the 90-95mph before installing this setup.
any help appreciated .

I don't think you'll get anywhere near 95 even with your new setup. The buggies aerodynamics aren't good for that, tires will be an issue, and I don't think you can stuff a big enough pinion gear on it with the stock mount. My guess is you will top out around 75mph or so.

with 19/44 pinion and off road tires I clocked it 74mph.

Hi Genebaby !

foam tires are a waste of money if used here were the asphalt is melted because of the extreme sun beam. I tried it with my rustler long time ago, it won't grip at all even with less than 1/4 throttle and very gentle throttle acceleration.
I think it will go and made a great speed run with off road tires. it grips so sticky with the melted asphalt here.

I just need to know if that setup would go in the 90-95mph range by using that calculator before wasting time placing that 26t pinion.

Not an off road tire but you should look at the wheels/tires used on the Traxxas X0-1, the car and tires are rated for 100+mph so if you can get them to fit they should be good. I have one of these car for bash duty and the tires do not grow at all, they have very stiff sidewalls.

it's not about of time replacing the pinion cain... i'm just worry because last time I added a lot of thread lock wile tighten the pinion screw and the motor mount and afraid that I might strip something...
there's no spare parts here .

you're right about the xo-1 tires. but it will not stick while acceleration. as I said before, the asphalt here are different than anywhere in the world . it's melted because of the sun beam. it's now about 12 midnight and the outside temp is over 100F , during day light is 139F for months.

Yeah, that's hot. I've heard you need different tyres for those kind of speed runs. They aren't over there though so I'm not sure what will take that speed in your area.

Good luck!

Just ribbin ya man.

Honestly, the first thing I would do if I was you if get spare screws, parts etc. before even messing with what you are wanting to do.

As for as stripping something tied to the pinion, you can usually break the loctite bond by heating the pinion / shaft up. I had to do that a few times with my Hyper 9E as only with tons of loctite on the motor shaft and pinion could I get the pinion to stay. Using a soldering iron I could heat it up and get it to come off.

And all else fails, drill the screw out and replace the pinion.

Good luck on your run though. Sounds like fun.
