What is a whip?

do sth before the jump, let the car turn in the air, and land sideways so that you can skip the process of braking and turn in, pretty go straight right after landing.

with my limited knowledge and experience, all I know is to get a bit more than enough speed before take off, turn and brake a bit to initiate the turn-in, and the car will keep on turning while in the air. The difficulty is to keep the balance and angle correct in the air, and to land almost perfectly o/w result will be worse.

Austin blair or jang?

I could see how "whipping" could save a little bit of time, but i'd imagine it come at a cost of excessive tire wear. Especially on a high traction track like that. But full-ride chassis sponsored drivers don't have to worry about the cost of a set of tires. (austin blair, ryan lutz, ryan mayfield, adam drake, etc.) For me, i wouldn't want to risk crashing while trying to show off. Unless i have a huge lead, i'm not gonna be whipping in the middle of a race.
Not even the superfast drivers @ my track do whips.

I was wondering what are the stock shock oils for the buggy?

Any suggestions on the stock pistons and stock springs for a 4s 6400 pack? The current set up is so soft... Thanks.

You can land shorter so it allows you to hit the jump quicker

You can also enter corners right after jumps a lot quicker by setting up in the air and land the right way instead of land then turn

If you learn how to countersteer or whip in the air you can correct your car's attitude in the air allowing you to hit jumps with a bit less care and still land the right way

In the end it's just cool

as for whips, yeah, sometimes he does it excessively to put on a show, but most of the time, whipping sets you up for after the jump. if all jumps led to straightaways afterward, whips wouldn't be necessary, but often there is a turn soon after a jump and if you can whip the buggy so it lines up better with the upcoming turn, you save time (i don't buy that whipping scrubs speed). austin is the master of this.

Getting ready to place a big parts order with Amain and am still undecided about springs. What springs should I have for this buggy and what spare parts do I need to have. Thanks.

haha, same answer from over on the SCT410 thread. I run the exact same shock setup on both.

I would be interested in hearing some setups to increase turn-in speed on the EB48, it seems a suffer from under-steer (on & off power). This is for a 1/10 scale size track that is relatively tight and is most likely not an issue on a 1/8 scale sized track.

Have you played with the toe in settings at all?
