Like the frightened baby chipmunk, you are scared by anything that is different.

Guys the truck is coming. We are silent because we are working. The website should be up this week. All the vendors have been contacted, alternate machine shops, etc. The one thing that I do not want to happen is release a vehicle to the public then make them wait for 6 months before they can get parts for it, not you will need much of anything, but still. The manual is nearing completion, talks with vendors is complete, and everything is going as planned. Yes the date may have been a bit skewed. However, we are very excited to bring this truck in its entirety to market. I have said it once and I will say it again. Please be patient as good things come to those who wait. :D
I'll see about posting another xsct design history post in the next couple of days. Thank you guys for the support and thanks for being patient.

Wes, I don't think anyone wants you to release ahead of schedule. However, releasing a revised schedule would be greatly appreciated, or simply keeping folks up to date on what's happening, which to date has been sorely lacking. The fact that no one was pushing the thread recently should be alarming to you as the manufacturers. Out of sight is out of mind!

As for price, you've been hinting at this for quite some time, it would be helpful to know one or at least a range but that doesn't matter at this point, availability is more important. By virtue of the fact that you've gotten all the players in line tells me your set on the price point and the variations for which the product will be offered, i.e. roller and/or upgrade, so one would assume that a release should be expected very soon!

There is no animosity meant by this post boys, just want to see a revised release date and some pricing models, if possible, nothing more and nothing less.

Keep the updates coming!

I'm also very excited about this truck but feel that my excitement is greater then the company who is producing the XSCT which has me worried. I am a fan of more info over less. Eagerly awaiting more info maybe a website update or rough date and price or a range just so i can know what to expect.

I ditched my Xray. It's been a little bit long for me, just traded it for a 4x4. I feel as if parts may be a problem. But good luck to the rest of you guys who are going through with a conversion.

Same here, i moved on. Its kind of lame that there is no approximate price on the different packages yet, even though everything is sorted out.

Same here. Ditched the SC class altogether. Might get this or the Moog during winter indoor season.

Well I know talk of this thing has been around for awhile now, but honestly it's only been a little over a month since K2RC's original post to announce its official introduction at the beginning of this thread. I would only have to assume that the K2RC intro marked a point in the early stages of production based on the info provided, and personally I don't want something that could be slapped together overnight so to speak. Having an idea and then to put it into production does take some time to do it correctly.

With that being said, I too am eagerly awaiting more info including pricing and a release date, but I'm not gonna  or ditch as I've seen this thing in person and in action and all I can say is it's a BEAST and of high QUALITY!! I shall have patience with this one!

This truck has been running for over 6 months? how is it in the early stages? I don't think it would take this long for a price or atlease a price range and an approximate date.

Does anyone else notice that scent in the air? It smells like excuses... and vaporware.

I was kinda excited about this vehicle, knowing the quality of xray, but now I think I'd rather just deal with possible parts shortages and run a Durango...

Your calling this car vaporware and holding up Durango as the example... :weird:Durango has the longest release times from when they start showing pictures of a new car of any company ive ever seen. Lol. Their truck has been out for a year and it's still hard to get parts for. Even if they screw this up they will do a better job than Durango does with their product launches. Hell it was 5 years from the first pictures of the Durango 4wd buggy until the first actual car was released. Maybe longer.

Cut these guys some slack. I'm not sure most people understand the amount of work that goes into developing and putting a new product into production. Endless details if you want it to go well. And the details are what most underestimate.

I'm only calling it as I see it. Professed quality and durability aside, I'm hesitant to buy one simply because it is a limited production vehicle. What's to say the spares supply will be any better than Durango? At least if I break a piece on a Durango, I'm nearly guaranteed to be able to source a spare after a while. Yes, they've fallen prey to their booming popularity, but with the Hobbico deal, things should only improve.

I have been disappointed in the several calls for further information, lack of information from Wes and the nearly complete absence of K2RC. This doesn't bode well for future support for the XSCT in my opinion.

Most of the parts that wear, not all, can be ordered as X-ray parts from AMain or elsewhere hence the conversion. I, not worried about getting parts. With all they are working on (procurement, manuals, packaging, marketing, pricing, distribution, websit, etc). I doubt they have time to check RCTech every time someone posts. Give these guys a break
