While I stand by that, this kit has promise to address all of them. It may have a $900 price tag, but sometimes you just gotta pay the man.

This is one of the most accurate things I have read on RC Tech

False. That is an earlier prototype with modified 1/8 arms. All the new arms are machined and will likely be a funny color.

Sorry to bust your balls flecko:smile:

On a separate note, I got some insight on the truck from Kellum this weekend, and it definitely looks like there will be many options as far as kit contents are concerned (if this has not been established already lol) - not all of you will need a 808 roller

No, I still have it. Frankly, it's never been better, but it's still not that great outdoor and that's 100% where I race. Nobody in the pits or on the driver stand in my area is working as hard as I am, and I remain committed to the AE chassis - but I'd be lying if I said it was perfect.

All the current rigs have their issues, that's for sure. I really only run small to medium indoor hardpack. So I picked the AE. When I run outside, the losi's seem to work better. It all really comes down to the driver.

This thing looks to fix all the issues. It might be a little heavy though. I weighed my AE last Sat, ready to race 6lbs,6oz. I think the specs posted earlier in the thread said about the same for the xray. Don't know if that's w/ or w/o the body.

I surely hope it's nowhere near $900!

They are at "The Dirt" race going on in AZ this week/weekend.

CraigMBA 02-22-2012 05:35 PM

Cameron,

When they 'finalize' the kit, can you make sure the nerfs have enough adjustment to fit the Method body? I swear it's 2" wider than the Jconcepts Raptor I was formerly using.

Yeah maybe WBD/K2RC can make some extensions for it. :sneaky: I made some lexan ones for the SC10 4w that work for velcro.

GL this weekend Josh!

Racerx336 02-23-2012 09:08 AM

Watching the development and everything that went into this truck was awesome. Wes literally changed something on the design side everytime he went to the track. One weekend it would be motor position, next weekend it would be arms and shock position, then the next weekend it would be a whole new truck because of an idea he had at 3:00am one night. No doubt that this truck has gone through one hellacious R&D cycle. It will be awesome!

May just suck me back into the SC class....

Cult Racing 02-23-2012 11:00 AM

what race # is the qualifier for Josh?
