How is it a cheater truck? as time goes the classes change, its not bending the rules. Also you dont use 8th scale wheels, there are sc wheels that have a 17mm hex.

I don't get what's wrong with converting an 8th scale? If it fits within roar dimensions, uses the same power 2s and a 540 4 pole of 550 2pole motor, only difference is it uses 17mm hexes and bigger bore shocks. I mean people really need to get out of this mindset that being based on a buggy is cheating when it's not.

The losi SCTE is just the 810 buggy with a little longer chassis. Not sure how this would be any different except it's not rtr grade quality like the SCTE.

I agree if it meets the rules, it meets the rules... who cares how they got there.

I will say the 810 buggy has as many different parts as it has the same parts as the scte; even more different if you include the e-conversion parts. The axles, bumpers, supports, chassis, guards, the list goes on.. that are different. Granted the diffs, a-arms, turnbuckles (basically the core parts of the front/rear clips) are the same on all three (810,ten-t,scte) but the center is different on the scte as well, other than diff cup and diff gears. Also note the shafts and axles are different on the 810 vs the scte as well. From the same family yes, but that is about it, at least from what I see. No different w/ the 8ight-e and 8ight-t, some shared parts on the clips.

LOL ! All of this is a moot point as there are only few prototypes running around and by the time this thing is released 2WD nitro stadium truck is gonna be the hot class and everybody will start running that instead of 4x4 SCT !:lol::lol:

LOL.

At this point, I think I am just going to build an Assoc SC8.2 as a SC10.

I would love a 1/10 nitro buggy even better if they manage to make a gas engine that tiny size :) those UAVs have em in droves why not us scale racers

rkhess 03-18-2012 07:52 AM

wow ........i never knew bigger hexes and big bore shocks gave an unfair advantage

wow having a truck that shares parts with another class you can race, what a good concept......weird:eek:

im glad to see conversions more brands= bigger turn outs and if you like the class you should wecome any truck as long as it goes on 2s, has SCT body and bumpers,SCT tires and wheels (thanks DEracing)...or you could just race yourself that would be fun:rolleyes:

cant wait to see this truck run ...more pics! and less hat'n especially by guys who race a truck thats based of the 810

Car 54 where are you?

WB and K2RC are you guys trying to tell us something with your silence? Your release dates have come and gone with not one word. Is there now a website we should be following?

Sorry to see that this rig might never see the light of day in a production roller:cry:

Hello all

Sorry for the Delay, but we are back from the Dirt! That was quite a trip and we've been recovering all week.

Good news, the XSCT R&D process is done! The Dirt was our last stage of testing. Now we are focusing all of our efforts to get this thing made and get the truck to market and make it available for pre-order.

Since we have been back, we have been knocking out the final details and creating an instruction manual for the XSCT. We plan on making the truck available for pre-order in the next seven to fourteen business days. Trust me guys I want as many people to have these things as possible as soon as possible. Rome was not built in a day and neither will the XSCT!!

This was posted on March 2. 7-14 business days would be March 13th to March 22. 1 day left.

Probably just a case of pre-mature release.....

It might still be alive.... Although I'm getting close to giving up SC racing...

Guys the truck is coming. We are silent because we are working. The website should be up this week. All the vendors have been contacted, alternate machine shops, etc. The one thing that I do not want to happen is release a vehicle to the public then make them wait for 6 months before they can get parts for it, not you will need much of anything, but still. The manual is nearing completion, talks with vendors is complete, and everything is going as planned. Yes the date may have been a bit skewed. However, we are very excited to bring this truck in its entirety to market. I have said it once and I will say it again. Please be patient as good things come to those who wait. :D
I'll see about posting another xsct design history post in the next couple of days. Thank you guys for the support and thanks for being patient.

If you have ever owned a Durango SC you can appreciate K2RC efforts to have everything in place up and running and PARTS ready to be sold and not out of stock when the truck is released. AE, Losi, and Durango have all had issues with their 4w SC releases and problems when the truck is in public use. K2RC is NEW and to drop a S... product on the public would not be good for them or their soon to be customers.

Good things come to those who wait.

I cant wait for this truck, my sc10 4 x4 is really good right now but i think this trucks gonna be awesome

bosshog64 03-22-2012 11:00 PM

I'm sure they will let you have one Ricky, but first you have to say "I...Love....Crepes!"
