No, the stock pistons are non-tapered. You'd be fine with the same shock oil weights though.

The Low B plate uses different pins, make sure you use the pins that come with the Std B plate.

Hey Jeff you said you run 40 45 weight shock oil with the 8x1.3. Is that pretty standard? I haven't gotten a chance at track time yet but I think I used 37.5 and 32.5 with blue kyoshos . am I so far off I should rebuild them now or give them a chance? Our track gets pretty blown/ rutted out. Its the silver state nitro challenge track

Seems I am replacing this rubber everytime I drive my car... Hopefully there is an easy fix?

Any help greatly appreciated

P.s I tried the search function but I'm having no luck in finding a solution, my google-fu is also failing today

Edit.. Will a drop of superglue be enough to stop the pin from coming out?

Put a set screw in the coupler with lock tight and that will keep the pin in, the coupler has threads in it already. then just take the boot and o ring off

for my car i am replacing diff fluids whats an all around good setup
thanks, josh

Yeah, I run 45 Front/40 Rear with the AE silvers and AE 8 x 1.3's. It's just the right amount of pack, I don't like a stiff car, it's too hard for me to drive, I like my car on the soft side.

That's also with the Reedy 5500 mAh batteries, which are a big ol' brick.

This also depend's on the track and your preference .
Is it smoot or bumpy , high or low grip .
At our track ( bumpy , high grip astroturf ) i use ae blue springs , 40fr/35rr , 8x1.3's , gold swaybars .
other drivers that are using ae silver springs and the stock pistons but they also use gold swaybars becouse they have " griproll "
