So where do you actually put the green slime when rebuilding the shocks and how much of it? Thanks

Sounds good. Thanks.

Also for everyone out there, as I am getting to be a better driver and focusing more on set-up. How often do people rebuild the AE shocks? Do you just change the oil sometimes or always rebuild the whole thing? Please don't turn this into a shock bash-fest about which brand is better. Just a simple answer is appreciated.

Well, depending on your race program, but based on a 2 qualifier and a main format, i rebuild my shocks every other race night, unless i see fluid building up on the bottom of the shocks, then i rebuild right away. Lately i find that i rebuild my shocks after each race night cause i've been running two classes with the same truck.

I've used both, they were the same.

Use whatever makes you feel good.

All these posts about shock seals -- just move your front/rear up and down and observe if/how it settles/sticks when just rebuilt and use that as a reference for checking later if your shocks are sticking more. When in good condition, you should see things want to return to nearly the same point regardless of if you pushed the car down and let it raise on its own or let it settle down from above ride height (or from a light drop of a small distance). Obviously it's going to have some stick to it and the springs you use will change this behavior, but you can use what it does when freshly rebuilt as a reference to tell later when you're wandering away from like-new condition and by how much.

The rear of my b4 is terribly in need of new seals and it is quite pronounced in its willingness to stick a little. Having said that, I TQ'd with it last time I ran it like that so your mileage may vary on how much of an impact it has on you, but you can at least be aware of it.

Has anyone tried using powdered graphite lubricant on the transmission gears? Is it even needed?

How come they don't make RPM arms for the B4? Am I wrong on this? I swear by them on my T4 and was curious. Thanks in advance.

Now the green slime is another story especially since people seem to be rebuilding their shock frequently...

Just my 0.02$
I own a few cars and not to mention I have friends with a few cars so I'd rather spend $4.50 on a small tub of this stuff and split it up than to spend $2.50-3.50 for a micro sized tube of it from a hobby shop.

Yep..why spend $4 on a few grams when you can spend $8 on a few ounces. Makes sense.

RPM is a stickler when it comes to building things right. If they don't think they can't make it indestructible and turn a reasonable profit then the won't make them. I think the driving force between the two is the T4 arms also fit the SC10 and the GT2.

Ahhh... If you're sharing your personal lubricant then it makes sense to order more of it... Just kidding! But I see why you want a bigger jar of it.
