I gear my 10.5 25/78 for a small, high grip indoor track.

It should be very close to what BT and Pudge are using...

Last sheet I saw they had a slightly longer wheel base with 1/2* rear toe added on the hubs. Also a full length rear spring, but for the grip of my track, the cut spring stablized the car out a little more.
Is the cut rear spring for smooth high bite tracks? Is that why they are cut? Or is there another reason?

The more coils a spring has the more progressive it will be. Also it causes the spring to be softer. When you cut off coils, the spring will become more linear and slightly stiffer.

Doing this puts the spring between a standard black and a standard green spring.

I raced with the GT2 front arms on my T4 this past weekend. No changes in geometry observed and no issues with breaking them. Our 2WD class was a hack fest this past weekend too. One thing I like is the lack of spacers on the outer hinge pins, makes installing them even faster, and what's interesting is the tab that the shock mounts to is single on the GT2 arm, but double on the stock T4 arm. I'm not sure if there is a strength difference between the GT2 arm and the T4 plastic arm either. I used the GT2 outer pin, it worked fine.

The total car weight is 53.1 ounces. ROAR minimum is 52 ounces.
Thanks for the setup. Got a couple of questions though:
-Are you guys adding any weight to the cars with this setup, other than to balance out the chassis left/right?
-Is this setup mainly for high bite wet tracks or does it work for more dry/dusty conditions too?
-What handling advantages does this setup offer over the standard weighted setup?

I have no weight added to my car. Depending on the size of your Rx you may need to add 1/2 oz behind your Rx.

I've been running this set up on 2 tracks. One damp high bite clay, the other is fairly slick. The set up was good on both tracks.

The lighter car is much more nimble and seems easier to carry corner speed.

After cutting the two coils off of the spring, what has to be done to the spring to make the end flat again? Thanks

Bend the top 1/2 coil. I use a set of square nose pliers to hold it and then needle noses to work the last part of the coil flat..

I'll try to post pic's this weekend.

LOL...I remember cutting the springs on my street race car and it either worked good or it was horrible.

depends on how much grip you need in the rear of the truck... I'm usually trying to get rid of the rear grip, in which case the 4th hole on the truck would make this worse.

One item not indicated on the setup sheet that has been posted for the light weight setup is that the AE team was using 0.5 degree rear hubs (at least they were at CRCRC this past weekend)

I was looking at this setup to be able to dump a couple of oz's of lead.
