Cool some new goodies!

Got some new goodies:

- serpent parts: option 2 steering, fr/rr arms, 2.0mm sway bar (price finally came down to 5.99 like all other sway bars, yah!), extra bumper, diff cases.

- M2C tower and 2nd brace (bent my first one, gonna save my graphite tower, still intact)

- Kyosho vibration absorption (Z8006). squishy stuff to put under the ESC to help with impacts and hard landings.

- a shock shaft wrench! never had one of these before.

- replace my hot shot glow igniter for my TTR-S3 nitro...

- 2 new Turnigy nano-tech's 6000 mah. These actually shipped from Sweeden!!! wish I could get a blonde as well!!

and yeah, that new Cobra body looks spectacular! nice job!

Has anyone noticed their batteries becoming very unbalanced running a jumper wire setup? I always 100% always balance charge my batteries at 1c and it seems one of the 2 packs in both sets of my batteries one gets way out of balance. Any input?

Nope, and I balance charge mine at 1C (5.3-6.0A) as well. However, I have a single port battery charger/balancer, but I use a parallel adapter board, so I can charge/balance two of the same packs at once.

On another note, I managed to break two VERY expensive servos Friday night at my local indoor club race... One in my 2nd qualifier, and the other in my A-main.

Both were Futaba S9074SB servo's.. And both ripped teeth off of the smaller gear on gear #2 and the larger gear, on gear #5. And yes, both were full metal, high-torque, digital servos...

Completely ruined my day.... Just wish I knew why in the hell that happened, and what servos everyone else is running (that's NOT Savox)....???

I use one of the hitec x4 chargers so I balance charge both batteries after each run. Is there a better way for me to charge my batteries? I use 2 gens ace hard pack 40c 5000's for qualifiers and 2 Orion carbon pro 90c 5000's for my main. I'm wondering if there could be something in my esc that's making it happen? Some kind of setting I have wrong?

Nope, just after every weekend, I take each battery and charge/balance them [individually] at like 1.5A.

I doubt there would be anything else doing that. Either that, or your charger has a plus/minus 0.2v tolerance, or something along those lines... Regardless, there shouldn't be anything pulling more juice from one cell in a pack, than the others, IMHO.

Out of shear curiosity, what kind of ESC do you have? and how old are your batteries?

Tekin rx8, batteries are about a month old. I always storage charge after a race day. If the voltages the charger shows are correct I've had packs as far off as one cell at 3.8 and the other at 4.2

I did a back to back test on the Orion 6500 90C packs and Thunder Power 6000 65C packs. The Thunder Power packs blew the Orion packs out of the water. That 90C must be a peak rating and really a 45C battery. The engine was even 15 degrees hotter with the TP packs because they are pushing more juice. I do have to say that the Orion packs did fit nicer in the car but at least I will never lose a TP pack loose on the track

BTW both packs fit nicely with the RCMayor CF straps

I've had that as well before, coming to find out, it was just an iffy balance plug connection..

I've got a newer set of leads I can solder connectors onto. I'll give that a shot. I need to pick up some of those cf straps for mayor they look sweet and having the doors out of the way will be nice

I've never had that but I do find one pack will always be at a lower total voltage than the other pack. It's not always the same pack either.

Yeah, the 90C and 100C claims you see are bogus. That really is not possible. That has to be burst C rating. The 2S packs i am getting ready to release are 6500Mah at 60C with 120 burst. The packs blew some claimed 90 and 100C packs out of the water.(Not metioning names). I ran a 10 minute main and my voltage just started to creep under 8Volts afterwards.
