More than a few of the "team" guys are now running my pistons/discs, a couple at your track!! So yes you are right, they know what works best!!

These 3rd party parts are needed for the truck. Even Cav needs the 3rd party chassis brace and clutch basket.
I'm talking about the FT parts that are out now.

I saw that last night, "In combination with the Top Deck, I was running our saddle pack conversion and our own version of a center ball diff for the truck."

No word on overall weight? Where you guys at?

I know it would be more fun to go on about the exotek chassis....

I can tell you first hand now that the (Mantisworks) RCshox 2 stage pistons are the REAL DEAL. I only got two runs with them but I was able to beat my best lap time of 15.1 to 14.9 (twice) and went under 15.1 4 times in that race. With more tuning time I am sure I will be even better. The truck was more stable and was able to change direction quicker with these pistons. Just felt more planted around the track. THESE are nothing like the 2 stage pistons from back in the day that other companies have made.

The only REAL bummer is they are doing a track change this week and then are closed for the holiday so it will be almost two weeks before I get to run again.

Care to elaborate on what I said that is wrong.

That's a possibility, but it is a brand new motor. I have less than 10 packs on it. I took the pinion off and the shaft turns smooth with no wobble.

I finished the rebuild last night. I noticed that the rear gear box wasn't a smooth as the front even though literally ever part is new. I built it exactly how the exploded view showed. Ive only driven it down the hall a few times but the high pitch noise is still there.

I read your post last night , if your stripping spur gears maybe you need to check the screws on the transmission & motor , if loose you can strip..

The saddle packs will be my next big upgrade. I would have done it long ago but I don't already have saddle packs.

I'm a little over 6 lbs, like 96.2 oz. I'm running 4oz on the left side of the chassis by the transponder mount, .8oz on the left side of the servo and 1oz on the right side of the servo. This made me 50/50 left to right and 44/56 front to rear on my weight distribution. I would like to add a bit more lead in the center chassis in the slots on each side, but I am having trouble getting it in, I dont want to break the sides out.

Worth every penny ......

*Reedy 5200 SC LiPo
* B-44 LiPo tray & straps
*2 sets of B44 battery posts , 4 each
* 8 screws & 4 blue motor washers

If you don't have , you are at a disadvantage ...
