never say never!!! a little centralized weight will do the truck some good. price wise thats cheap for what it is , a flat aluminum "milled" chassis for any other car is around 100 bux. this pc is if nothing else very nicely machined as well as purposefull. i wouldnt be surprised if it is the final step in losi domination!:sneaky:

I agree about the nice work part  and what the weight placement could do for the truck. Not the direction I need to go with my truck and driving style though.

just a little more tuning and I'll have marcus beat, haha.

Take out the front bumper. Take off the 2 bolts holding the A-arms on, then the 4 for the shock tower. And tear the entire piece off as one. I can't really explain it better.

1. Bumper off
2. Six screws: 4 in tower, 2 in a-arm 'bracket'
3. tug and pull entire assembly off as one piece. It "will" come off, just gotta be a little forceful. (I've done it half a dozen times, no problem.
4. continue removal of diff

Really Easy.

Edit: This works the same in the rear. 5 minutes and I've got the diff in my hand. I swear by it. To all of you who don't know this already.

1 shock shaft
2 keyed washer
3 thin piston piece with the square post
4 thicker piston piece with the keyed square hole
5 one of the supplied washers
6 the itty bitty screw, i would use red locktight, IMO

I keep reading about this "pinning" mod. I can't find an explanation of it or what its benefits are on here or any type of "how to" for it. I've been away from the forum for a little to long... can anyone help me please?

1. Remove shaft from transmission.

2. Reassemble shaft without belt pulley (see picture in step 4)

3. locate a pin, Perfect size pin for me was the end of a Traxxas hinge pin. find correct size drill bit.

4. I recommend a drill press with a vise. or a very steady hand. Drill hole through the center of the slipper back plate. flat part of slipper disc acts as a guide so it is easy to drill a hole into the round shaft. and this will help you locate the exact position to drill as well.

5. Disassemble, now take slipper disc and notch it so it can slide over pin like a wheel hex. Notch by sanding or grinding the plastic belt pulley so it also slips over pin.

6. cut pin to fit within the square of the slipper disc.

7. Reassamble transmission with pin.

http://www.fuelslut.net/ihost/files/172/pin.JPG

8.Slide pulley on

http://www.fuelslut.net/ihost/files/172/pinpulley.JPG

9. slip disc back in

http://www.fuelslut.net/ihost/files/172/disc.JPG

10. Reassemble and verify that the slipper unit spins without wobbling. if it wobbles. you might need to to grind some material away from the high side to balance it out.

The belt pulley holds pin inside so you never lose it.

You will gain acceleration and braking. more corner entry speed and exit speed. and equal slipper action which makes truck more stable to me.

Sorry for crap pictures/dirty truck. i haven't cleaned it since i raced it Saturday night.

Here ya go

Well it's drizzling here this morning but should clear up by this afternoon. It should make the truck nice to run on after a quick rake thru. But my question is I see the vented slipper plate on the pin mod. Is that for heat dissipation to help cool it. I thought about drilling some holes in mine if that's the case.
