Anyone here have BOTH the SC10 4x4 and the Losi SCTE? I have the SCTE(new pins of course  ) and have been very pleased with it thus far, Im still waiting on my SC10 4x4, but if anyone has good experience with and/or owns BOTH, what is the general concensus between the 2 in terms of performance/durability?

So according to my calculations. running the castle 1410 with a 19t pinion on the 93t spur would give me a fdr of 12.57. DOes this sound like it should be in the ballpark?

Oooo That Sound!

Drove mine around court yesterday for first time.

Very fast and nimble! Can't wait to get it to the track!

Hope mine sounds like all the others? I have nothing to compare it to! The belt noise is far different then my 2wd!

I'm running the same combo using the 32p gears at 62/15 which puts me closer to a 10.6 fdr and I feel like there's still room to gear up or maybe add timing for a bit more top end. Temps around 140 on the motor. A 12.6 fdr I think would lack a good bit of top speed.

Even the sound of the larger pitch gears is different. I still wanna hear another truck go for peace of mind!

be careful attaching the rear chassis plate

When screwing down through the nut, the nut backed up and ripped a giant hole - no longer has anything to bite on.

Very dissapointed - other side is fine - same amount of pressure applied.

Waiting for response from AE.

Between the belt, 32 pitch gears and the strength of the magnets in a 550 can (LRP 5.5), I was way out of my element. Just rolling it across my table it felt tight. I pulled the motor out and rolled it again and it was nice and smooth. I had no idea that the 4 pole motors had that much resistance/magnet pull. Needless to say, once I got the electronics in it and dropped a battery in, all was well.. She's a screamer!!

Just swapped my front diff fluid for 60k. Only took ~5 min with a power driver to get to the diff (figuring it out as I went) and about 2 hours for the bubbles to work their way out of the 60k fluid  Can nearly cut that stuff with a knife!

Sounds like a defective mold...

In general though go easy and just snug the screws on the entire car if they only go into nylon. Certain ones strip out very easily. Also this metric thread is really fine pitch and more likely to strip than standard screws.

Race on, BTW I really got 3 but i believe we needed a demo!!!!

Finished my build last night. Went with 7k front and 3k rear diff fluids. No issues with my kit or any missing parts. Shocks aren't leaking or anything. I installed an MMP and a 1410. Tires are Proline Gladiators since my local track is pretty loose. Used Calibers all last season with my Slash 4wd so I'm excited to see how these new tires do in the loam. As long as the rain holds off, tomorrow will be its first track outing.
