Stock shock setup is ok but might remove bladder and see if it can soak up the bumps better

Tried that but, there is a little small breather hole just under the bleed screw. It would suck air and leak with every stroke. I had to rebuild them with the bladder. I don't know if it's just mine like that(all 4) or all new kits. Hmm...video shows them being built without bladder.

HMMMMMMMM....Yep......his mother's son with his daddy's Passion. Oh well if his drives good, I guess we will be gettin another one.

This from the same kid that said adam drake is the best driver ever, and when asked who adam drake tries to beat answered " Well duhhhh Rhonda Drake...everyone knows that!!!

AHHHHHH the next generation. 25 years of rc racing did not prepare me for this much fun!!!

That is so classic. I have a 5 year old son that said something similar...after I finally finished the build, we went to the track...I made a couple of laps, but couldn't keep all the fun to myself...lol. Handed him the radio, and he went crazy...I'm not just saying this b/c I love AE so much, but he really did drive better than I'd ever seen him...after about 10 laps, he slides sideways down the end of the straight, turns, looks me dead I'n the eye, and smiles...says, Dad, I love my new truck...now you need one...
5 years old and already workin ol dad...

Gotta luv these lil guys don't ya? They make life worth livin...

How good are the 540 can motors running this truck?

Yes.

7.5 has been my choice though next time out I may try an 8.5.

They include special seals for building the shocks without bladders. I believe they were in the misc shock parts bag. Put the flat side up in the the shock cap.

good to know, didn't really want to drop the money on a 550 system when I have 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5 motors all ready to go. Besides, I'll be racing on a smallish indoor track, a 540 in this truck is probably the way to go.

I've been running an Orion 8.5 in my truck for the last week now and it runs perfect. No temp issues till I try running over 12 min, then it starts to get above the 130s. Up until yesterday our indoor track was 42x56 and it was perfect as far as power and torque goes. The new track will be 32x90 so I think a little more motor will be needed for the long straights but I'm going to try gearing it up and see what happens.

We've got two other guys at our track running Orion 5.5's and they're coming off the track in the 130s as well.

As for the 550 motors, I drove another guys truck with the Tekin 4.5 and it was a little quicker as far as torque but felt a little more like a light switch and wasn't nearly as smooth as the 540 can. It's really personal preference, so far the 550 cans are coming off just as hot as the 540 motors in a full race.

This truck looks really cool, I may have to get rid of my SC8 to get this truck.

I run the CC 3800 with 62spur and 15t pinion. From dead stop it will blow the tires off. Drove it on driveway and in yard for about 15min. Don't have temp. Gauge but the motor and ESC were NOT hot at all.

So JConcepts 12mm wheels seem to be too wide for the stock body. The wheels stick out past the fender well causing the fender lip to rub on top of tire.

Have to trim old body to run without major rubbing issues.

Seems I'll be ordering stock rims to mount up my barcodes!

You got the wrong wheels. They make two different off sets.

Could somone measure one of the nerf bars for me? Its going on an aluminum RC10T chassis. Need to know how long they are and how wide. Thanks
