Has anyone tried running the Rear in Underdrive instead of the front in Overdrive. Im still fighting a setup for loose clay with med/high bite. wet to dry during the day. |

i didnt like the underdrive in the rear or overdrive in the front. have you tried the saddle pack setup? since i did this the rear end seems more planted, after balancing and dding weight.:)
i didnt like the over drive in the front. so i never tried underdrive. im running a losi for my next big race anyways. |
Mantis, did you test the Garodiscs with vented or normal hubs?

here's what I got going on, where are you guys adding weight to balance the truck out? ran a couple laps and it was alittle loose, but nothing I couldnt fix with some setup changes.

I wraped the front servo with 4oz of weight in 1\2 oz blocks.. then i put two oz under the motor up againts the rx box then 2.5oz on the gear cover side. next plan is to do a saddle pack config

what does your f/r and cross weights look like?
FL600 FR600 RL720 RR720 The odd thing about this is that when attached strig to the bottom of the chassi via the screws that attch the bumper to the chassi, I was heavy on the motor side, so I added more weight to the rear off motor side. I added FL21grams FR35grams RL20grams RR64grams A total fo 4.375oz |

Is anybody using the Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro/1415 combo? If so what are your thoughts? How do you have it geared?

1410 with a real ESC is more than enough. Now...if you're bashing, gear that thing to the moon! It will take it and you'll hit highway speeds! |

I think alot of trucks would be loose with that motor! my packs are down the middle and im adding weight on the back of the packs. which would be the front of your packs. 1.5oz to be exact. |

I know someone running that in a different chassis, and even with the smallest gearing she's got, it's overkill for even a large 8th scale track.

Been reading the thread for the last couple nights Great Front page BTW :)
I just picked up a used sc10 4x4 and will be installing a new Xerun 2.1 120a with either a 5.5 (540) tekin or a 1410 castle motor. Would you guys recommend 32 pitch for indoor clay or is the 48 pitch ok ? With the 1410 at least Also what spares are common to keep in your pit box.. I got to get a Amain order coming :D Thanks everyone |
