I have tried all sorts of setups on this truck and the Cavalieri setup has been the best that I have tried, with the addition of my dual stage pistons, my truck stays much more planted at a high speeds.:sneaky::batman:

besides the clutch basket, are there any other fixes for the slipper?

im currently running HT pads with the thrust washer shimmed and the spring is fully compressed. it is definitely much better than stock, but i still am getting a small amount of unwanted slip. pads are glazed after a day.

Not yet, And I am curious to see what AE is going to come up with to fix it. I have an idea what they may do, but that's just speculation

Your servo might be mounted too far back on the adjustable mount.

ok guys, after reading this entire thread, I am now wondering if I did something wrong installing my steering servo. Nobody else seemed to have the same issue I am having. I am using a hitec 5645mg. after I installed and still on the bench, it looked like the servo horn would hit the housing so I dremeled out a notch in the housing to give the horn a little more clearence. Do you guys think I installed it wrong or when would the endpoints been ok? Any advise would be great. Thanks

take a pic and post of the spacing between the servo and servo horn, sounds like you have it installed incorrectly.

Be careful when smashing down that slipper spring. By just snugging the nut down on the rear top shaft to where the spring was compressed on my truck was enough to bend the top shaft.

I decided to order some new HT pads with the light weight top shaft and MTK clutch basket. The light weight shaft and clutch basket felt as light or lighter than the stock top shaft. The new pads were different material. Much darker color than the ones i had in their before.

After a full day of racing i noticed no fade at all on my slipper and amazing punch out of the corners. Just cave in and get the clutch basket and stop wasting money on pads.

...what he said!! the slipper basket is awesome, I think I'll single handedly sell 5 or 6 of these based on how well my truck hooks up without any excess slippage/fade. three slipper pads = better fine adjustability.

What is everybody's thoughts on springs? In my opinion, I'm looking for stiffer front and rear springs. One of the guys I race with, he is clearly faster than I am, he's thinking softer rear springs. My setup seems to bounce off the ground a little too much in the rear. I'm at 30k rear, 35k front. 1.2 pistons, 26mm ride height. All of my spring choices arrive tomorrow so I can start testing friday night at practice.

can you see how the back of the servo horn will hit the servo case?

The servo does not turn that far to hit the case. Thats just the way it is.

The stickers are cool but the body stinks. Sorry just my opinion.
