Is this problem caused by the rear arms impacting the outdrives?

Thanks

That's kinda funny...I had EXACTLY the same experience with mine the first race day out! I felt the truck was tail-happy all day and then after the Main I let one of the local fast guys try it and he thought it felt pretty good and was able to get it around the track way better than me. He gave me a few pointers and then I was able to drive it quite a bit cleaner. As long as I don't push it really hard it seems to behave pretty well and get around the track quickly.

Cheers,
Mike

It seems to be a fairily common complaint that the rear end of the truk is loose. I had the saame complaints, I had better drivers try my truck at the local track and they thought it felt great. So Im wondering how much of this is the user and how much of this is the truck?
Who is a great driver who feals the truck is loose?
Or who is a great driver the feels the truck is on rails?

It is a good idea to make sure that the rear a arms cannot compress to the point that they hit the outdrives.
ffpm, i doubt that your bearings are shot. my outdrives have some play, but the diff is not damages or deformed, and they do not leak, well very little anyways.

Looking for some feedback on the Track Star orings. Anyone had a chance to run them yet?

im hoping they are a stock picture ill get the ae bars later on when they are not in such high demand. i figured worse case i could use the hardware. if they get me by for a couple races. i may keep them on but im really happy with the way my truck drives without them just wanted to try it out. i run mostly outdoors large 1/8 tracks and have a blast drifting around the corners sometimes. just seems the front inside tire lifts alot maybe the bars will help. i should have them soon and let everyone know on the quality and fit ive never used hot racing before does look kinda cheap but hey 90 percent of what we use is made in tawain or china and it holds up so we will see

Ok, so why the wobble then? What would make it wobble?

MadRussian 06-23-2011 08:38 AM

We just got front sways in and rears should be in tomorrow!

ffpm46 06-23-2011 08:40 AM

Where r u getting them tomorrow? Rear i mean?

[QUOTE=ffpm46;9295113]Just checked my rear diff out drives. The L side, Motor side the outdrive wobbles. Does that mean the bearing is shot? Is this a warranty problem? I have 3 races on this truck.[/QUOTE

Its normal , does not mean the bearing is bad ...

The bearings inside the gearcase or the outdrives inside the bearings. It's something I found common with the RC8. Nothing is perfect. Bearings, outdrives and gearcases wear.

Making sure your shocks don't compress to the point the outdrives hit the arms will help.

I got two sets of fronts last week made the rear bars myself using the front mounts and links . Losi 8B and 8T rear bars are very close to what you need used them for patterns to bend the new ones . It made a huge difference was running 2.0 front and rear with AKA grid irons super soft . 5000 front and rear diffs clicker locked . 25 35 shock fluid with bladders . battery all the way back truck was dialed .

Thank, gonna call AE and see what they say. Gonna limit the rear shocks from compressing to far for now.

Here's what I did that worked pretty good. I stood the shocks in the front end straight up and angled out the rear shocks as much as possible.
I also have sway bars. I positioned the battery as far back as possible.

I'll get ya'll some pics. Its controllable tail happy if that makes sense. Just gotta be easy turning.

From our Distributors, like we usually get kits and parts.
