Is this problem caused by the rear arms impacting the outdrives?
Thanks |
That's kinda funny...I had EXACTLY the same experience with mine the first race day out! I felt the truck was tail-happy all day and then after the Main I let one of the local fast guys try it and he thought it felt pretty good and was able to get it around the track way better than me. He gave me a few pointers and then I was able to drive it quite a bit cleaner. As long as I don't push it really hard it seems to behave pretty well and get around the track quickly.
Cheers, Mike

It seems to be a fairily common complaint that the rear end of the truk is loose. I had the saame complaints, I had better drivers try my truck at the local track and they thought it felt great. So Im wondering how much of this is the user and how much of this is the truck?
Who is a great driver who feals the truck is loose? Or who is a great driver the feels the truck is on rails? |
It is a good idea to make sure that the rear a arms cannot compress to the point that they hit the outdrives.
ffpm, i doubt that your bearings are shot. my outdrives have some play, but the diff is not damages or deformed, and they do not leak, well very little anyways. |
Looking for some feedback on the Track Star orings. Anyone had a chance to run them yet?

If those are the wires supplied, I don't think they'll fit. They look too narrow across the perch.

[QUOTE=ffpm46;9295113]Just checked my rear diff out drives. The L side, Motor side the outdrive wobbles. Does that mean the bearing is shot? Is this a warranty problem? I have 3 races on this truck.[/QUOTE
Its normal , does not mean the bearing is bad ... |

Ok, so why the wobble then? What would make it wobble?
Making sure your shocks don't compress to the point the outdrives hit the arms will help. |
I got two sets of fronts last week made the rear bars myself using the front mounts and links . Losi 8B and 8T rear bars are very close to what you need used them for patterns to bend the new ones . It made a huge difference was running 2.0 front and rear with AKA grid irons super soft . 5000 front and rear diffs clicker locked . 25 35 shock fluid with bladders . battery all the way back truck was dialed .

Thank, gonna call AE and see what they say. Gonna limit the rear shocks from compressing to far for now.

Cheers, Mike I also have sway bars. I positioned the battery as far back as possible. I'll get ya'll some pics. Its controllable tail happy if that makes sense. Just gotta be easy turning. |
