The tolerances on this truck are tight! Everything just fits barely.
I am getting a very slight rub on the bottom of the front clicker cover from the steering linkage. Anyone else notice this or having this problem? |

If you look closely, you will see that in the manual the first load the gears into the right-side of the transmission case, in the video they are loading the gears into the left side of the transmission case.
So, both the manual and the video are correct, the just built them in a slightly different way. |
First runs..
got a chance to push the Fo-ba-Fo around the local track SDRC Raceway
Box Stock setup, Novak 4.5 Ballistic 550, 11t Associated 32p pinion with kit included 32p spur, Old LRP Sphere TC Spec (im an onroad guy at heart ;) )... pack after pack all evening of practice, temps loamed around 125F-145F... plenty of punch... Truck handled well, good starting point for those who have no clue of what they are doing (me).. set ride height around 25mm, 1.5degree camber all around and let er rip... BIG FUN!!! |

I would think Hobby People has a few left. Hot Rod Hobbies has 2 left when I was there yesterday.

Perhaps it really doesn't matter which way they go so long as the skirt on the idler and diff are opposite each other? |
Just about finished the truck in 3 hours last night (midnight to 3am) and am wondering if anyone has done a screw count in order to get to either differential once the car is complete. I figure we'll all be changing diff oil like crazy as we try to figure out this truck on so many different track surfaces and I'm doubtful that oil swaps will be a quick thing with this truck. As I type this I sit here thinking about all 6 screws you had to remove to get to the tranny on the 2wd sc10. :p

I used the Receiver box and a Hitec servo wire is plenty long to reach. |

my hobby people in orange off of katella have 3 left.. i was quite suprised when i saw them there!!!:confused:is anyone using an extension wire for your servo? i am going to run a mmp with lrp 4.5 550 with the xp digital 1313 servo. the wire isn't long enough to use the enclosed receiver box.. just curious if anyone is experiencing glitching with the extension wire for the servo?
I had to use a servo wire extender. 6 inch Airtronics. My Airtronics servo wire is longer than my JR 8800T wire. I saw one of hobby people's employee's SC10 4x4 and he used a hitec servo. Their wire is considerably longer so you won't need a wire extender if you use that servo. |

Yup. you're right. Sorry about that.
Perhaps it really doesn't matter which way they go so long as the skirt on the idler and diff are opposite each other? "How the heck I'm I going to get the diff oil changed at the track between rounds." AE needs a video on that one. A screw gun will be a must have for diff changes. |

I'm going to use the Novak Ballistic 550 4.5T motor on my truck. I run on a large outdoor 1/8 buggy track with a bluegroove. Would I be better off using the stock rotor or changing to the 14mm rotor.

One of my rear shocks was built with hydro lock from the factory.
