Does anyone have an actual length that the servo wire needs to be to get to the receiver box WITHOUT extensions? I have no issue running extensions if my Savox won't reach, but would like to know if I need to go get one now, before the truck arrives, rather than get the truck finished and have to wait for my LHS to open the next day so that I can get one...

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

How are the stock SC10 4x4 tires?

Wild Cherry 05-10-2011 09:35 AM

The kit tires look perfect for bashing ....

supposedly good for carpet too, but who would do that? lol

Will JR9100s, Tekin RS-pro with Redline 7.5 work on this truck?

mdwaeracer 05-10-2011 09:45 AM

I saw Randy from Tekin recommended the RX8 said the 4X4 trucks was too much for the RSpro

I guess I will use them for screwing around.
Any recommendations for loose dry dirt w/ gravel over hardpack? I live in a high plains desert. :(

If you are indoors on a small track you will be good to go. A 13 mm high torque rotor would be a good idea too. Outdoors...meh. You will be going slow compared to everyone else trying to keep your motor cool.

The RX8 is definitely suggested when using the 550 motors. If you can keep a 540 motor cool at your track then the RS pro will suffice. Over the winter I ran an RS pro in my scrt10 4wd sct with a 5.5 sc4x motor with zero worries. However, the ambient temp was around 50 in there. lol

Our track here in Tx is like that, Calibers work great, and have a good wear life too

Better keep buying if you want to win.

Jason has 8 more since the picture in the Avitar and signing with AE.

Practiced this weekend with the SC10 4x4. Jason said it drove better than his Carbon fiber SCRT10. He will be racing this weekend at the Traxxas open in Appleton WI. Using stock setup to get a baseline. Looks pretty good as shipped to tell you the truth.

Keith.

Are you putting 1 silver .030" washer on each transmission case screw? I noticed my rear transmission was tight until I put those washers on. Although it was still a bit tight to begin with after running it for 5 minutes everything freed up and rolled quite smoothly.

Chris - Thanks for the reply. Yep I am using the silver washers on. Truck is at home but if I remember right only 2 of the 3 screws used silver washers?

Hopefully can finish build tonight but have lots of kids stuff so I will see how late this old man can stay up :)
