Does everyone else glue their clicker to the pully like I did? ;) How much weight are people putting in the nose? I could use low speed rotation, heck on our clay track I can't even get it to rotate by hitting the brakes, mid to high speed steering is pretty good though. Running mostly kit setup, white springs all around, mid on tower, out on lower for shocks, and using the forward hole in the rack. I'm considering trying stiffer rear springs, maybe shorter rear link as well.

Just borrow The other Mikes truck....problem solved!
Hope you will be down Friday night. Maybe we can swap radios and see what each truck is doing differently so as to compare notes.

with the vehicle up on a stand, giving it throttle and moving the steering rapidly, you can at times see it cut out if it is an issue. This is what I saw when I put my trusty MMP into my sc10 4x4 before going all speed passion. Before, no issues with it in 4S 1/8 buggy usage, drop it into 2S usage and had a problem.

However, I did notice this on towerhobbies description when I was looking to see what your BEC is rated at:

Curious if you are having issues related to this?

So, after attemting to race last night I found the Glitch Buster was not actually fixing the problem. Despite what AE keeps telling me about this Ix8... ! I have frigging had it with these clowns and LRP products in general.
I will send it in again and try to convince them, maybe a video of it not working.
I currently have an LRP X12 motor that never worked properly out of the box as well as my 6 SXX's that have been fixed/upgraded.
End Rant.

sorry to hear that. If you need a relative cheap esc, give the SP GT2.0 Pro a look.

Ya, funny story there too... 2 of the SXX's I sent in for trade in somehow became upgrades.
I have 1 flow and its fine so far.

Cain 05-02-2013 01:22 PM

at that price for the LRP Flow, could have a Tekin RX8 instead, even the Gen2 version when it comes out.

cantrell8 05-02-2013 01:23 PM

has anyone dropped the servo to the lower chassis? if so what did you feel?

kevin do you set the endpoints on your servo? if not you could be over stressing the servo, causing excessive amp draw from the bec.

... there around 75% L/R, i set em until servo is not making noise.
I think these 550 motors are just too much for ESC's. The Flow is the only one ive not had problems with so far.

that may be true, ive been running a 540 viper motor and esc. with no problem. also baan running a shorty. so far power is not a problem. one other question. what bullet plugs do you use, ive had problems in the past that the expanded metal ones over time wear out. so ive switched to the solid plugs with great results!

on another note when are you racing tacoma again? missed you at the showdown!

Where the servo is mouted above. Sand the x brace an mount the servo flat on the chassis.

Ya those connectors are ok but with high loads they lack contenuity, an can overheat the battery. The solid plugs work wonders! there's a lot. Of them to choose from. A 3.5 is a lot of motor! I have a 5.5 that's been working great for myself. Sometime 4wd buggy will run on fridays but with the weather lookin the way it does I'm expecting a light turnout all weekend.
