not the same.

8mm helps with roll, m2c & exo for extra traction ...

I just got back from the track and the truck felt great at four seasons. I'm running exotek rear hubs with 6mm and 12mm tini ball studs. Zero shims on the inside. Technically 4mm mod I think.

I will.
Looks like it also has alum spindles and rear hubs with a fancy carbon tower, and some nice looking silver drive shafts at the corners. And a mc2 :)

Just curious when was the last time you raced outdoors ?
Has the season started down there yet ?

We race outdoor year round.

Oasis races at a local indoor track. It's cool, but I don't like racing indoor so I don't do it. Same reason I have a job where I work outside.

I just don't understand your logic or your complex frequency mesurements.

Thats too bad, because they are super helpful, especially after you get a setup you like on a particular chassis and move to a completely new one. You can google search "measuring suspension frequency" or just read this article.

http://www.smithees-racetech.com.au/...cefactors.html

Plus, they aren't that complicated, because if they were, i wouldn't be able to do them (my wife is a licensed civil engineer and can do complex calculations, I switched to accounting as a Sophmore in college precisely because I couldn't ).

However, because you dont understand doesnt make me right or wrong, and if you won't try to understand them, well...I can't help you with that. It happens to be what real engineers do on real cars, and has a lot of applications on ours.

And, it's your truck, and you should do what you like with it. Just be aware that there are some real opportunities to go faster and maximize your track time, and your electing to not take advantage of them.

Im telling you Blue fronts on the front and blue rears on the rear felt better to me on my truck where I run, so why do you insist we should move to a much higher rate front spring and the truck will be better? When I just went softer and I like the feel and handling charitaristics. I think it must be the surface you run on or your driving style. No body is wrong if they come up with a setup that feels good to them. Anyway I'm more inclined to follow cherrys advise because he's in my neighborhood and runs on the same tracks as me. You think I bought softer springs because my shocks didn't feel firm enough? Im not trying to offend you. Im actually done talking about it. I'm good. YOU WIN!
Like I said, it's your truck - do what you like.

And thanks Oasis - its always nice to have props from someone who has a national championship in a class that was 80+ entries deep, and he knows I know what I'm doing.

I can appreciate your input, tell you what, I'll try some front blues on the rear just to check it out. I'd go softer but I don't have any on hand. I'm installing a reedy 4.5 550 and a castle bec right now just to check it out even though I'm really happy with the pro4 4000.

I tried the proline ION sc today and I must say proline is makeing a really good tire for indoor clay. I've been running Jconcepts exclusively for years now but after the lame glue job they have done on my last 2 recent orders im trying proline as punishment. One set of pressure points had one tire only glued half way and the set of choppers I ordered had a ton of glue on the face of every wheel. I can do a better job myself.

If you like the ION's you should try AKA Wishbones or Handlebars in the new clay compound, there awesome.

Tried all ...

The handle bars are hard (new clay compound) , at Trcr they do not perform well...

wishbones ok ( old compound Red)

GOLD Pressure Points & Bar Code better

Ion better & proving its the other tire to consider..

Lol, we have found just the oppisite @ our track. Jconcepts are not a seller, mainly Panther Rattler's and AKA's (Handlebars, Wishbones and Rebars) are the tires of choice.

Did not intend to rip your post ..
I am interested in the fact you liked the Aka HB and could you please post a picture of your track ...

I have a buddy that works for Aka and would use and even troll their tires if they performed at my track ...

This is a video from a couple of years ago:

Also Proline Ion's and Suburb's work pretty good also.

I still enjoy panther switch 2.0's on my 8th scales. I was just on the panther website yesterday, their rubber blend is amazing. The ion's are kinda loose on the first battery but the second battery they grip good on blue groove, four seasons felt really oily yesterday and traction was still above average for me. I've also been testing pressure points with good results. Its nice to test out different tires. Ive got aka Rebars on my b44 and traction was ridiculously good.

Jstall7543 03-17-2013 01:28 AM

Well I tried the reedy 4.5 550 today and it was a tiny bit faster then the tekin pro4 4000kv maybe 1-2mph faster but I pulled it and went back to the tekin because it just didn't feel as good to me. Also it didn't have the low end like the pro 4. It was a interesting experience. I crashed so many times trying to make the tripple I could previously clear smooth as silk with the pro 4 lap after lap. I didn't make any other changes 13t pinion on both. It probably felt funny to me since I ran the 1410 for so long in my old kit. 550 motors just dont feel right to me in the sc10 4x4 but I know a lot of people love them. Ill probably pick up a pro 4 4600kv just for fun.

Disclaimer: results may vary, what works for me may be completely wrong for you.

If you like the 4000 KV, your going to love the 4600.

I used to run the Rebars pretty much alll the time till they came out with the Wishbones in the clay compound. Next tires i'm going to try are the Handlbars in a few different compounds.

Sorry upfront.
I am sure this has been asked a lot but I don't have time to search hundreds of posts.
I piced up my second sc10 4x4.
I had one when they were first out. I ran 20/5 diff oil.
What is the preferred diff set up now?
Large outdoor low to medium bite
Tires of choice are like city blocks.
Motor is a Tenshock 411 4000
