For springs, yellow rear is the heaviest rear. for those who need more stiff spring rate, that is why we went with fronts on the rears.

Ah ok, got it. That makes sense I do have some of the c-clips and I'll just order a front spring kit. Thanks again Cain

no prob. there should be some pics too on the thread of how its done if its not obvious. Sometimes pics help, trust me, I know lol.

SC10 4wd is ordered and paid in full. I should have it by thursday or Friday.
Im excited to build this kit and ive made notes on what to do
immediately before building. Does it come with diff fliud or shock oil, if it dont
then I'll have to go buy some for it when it comes in. I hear the diffs come dry.

Wild Cherry 02-04-2013 09:29 AM

?racer

Its really a great truck and you will see, welcome ...

Most check & add the correct oils for the diff's & shock's ..

The kits do not include any oil .

Suggest reviewing Rc10.com set-ups and pick one that fits your track best.

When you do add diff oil , change shim's for the diff's ....

Most are discarding the outside shim on the out drive and adding a extra .2 shim under the sun gears .

Maybe your kit included the new .5 shim ?

If so disregard the shim mod and assemble as shown in the instructions ...

Sounds Ok , maybe start with 30W in rear shock 35w in front .
Diff oil weights look good ..

Cain 02-04-2013 09:57 AM

depending on your track you may find you want lower front diff oil. If it has a lot of quick turns, I would say start with 20K personally since you are going to run the slipper setup.

Center diff setups guys use 5 - 10K . I really liked 7K up front. 5K in the rear seems to be pretty universal / common.
