He was talking about the end that should always be attached to the dog bone. He could just find some other rod to fit and weld it on.

I personaly have build THREE of these SC10 4x4's for myself and buddies... without a single issue of any kind. I've also raced mine a couple times and we raced on the weekend again with no issues.

On second thought....

There is one way the CvD pin could come out , a loose wheel nut perhaps ?

Seen some use other brand wheels & their fit is not the same as the Ae so the lock nut does not fit correctly and comes loose when on the track...

You guys are a bit confused, he is saying the pin that is PRE-INSTALLED on the DIFF SIDE of the CVA is what came out.
It just sounds like a faulty part.

AE is really quick < they ahve taken care of any problems we have had within 3-4 days.

BTW we have two kits left and 10 hours left on the SC10 4x4 sale.

Has anyone noticed the out drives getting sloppy in the diff gear housing. My cups are starting to develop a lot of movement. The o-rings seem to be sealing the fluid still but this stuff is so thick it take weeks to leak out anyway.

Any thoughts on this? Maybe AE did not grease the shafts when assembling the diffs?

I am about to buy a SC10 4x4 and was wondering what the best motor esc combo would be. I usually prefer to run tekin since its the brand I know but I am open to other brands. I will be running it on a large 1/8 scale clay track and also a small 1/10 scale loose dirt track. I have been trying to read through all the posts in this thread but still unsure which motor\esc to get.

thanks

There is no really best setup, everyone has their own preference..... If you normally run tekin then I say go for it since you know how they perform etc etc that would prob. be the best choice for you...... Most users on here using tekin setups use the rx8 esc with the tekin sc4x motor, however I prefer the MMP with 3800kv 1410 motor, to each his own ;-)

Yup, that's them. Though I purchased mine on Ebay during the winter for about $60 shipped for the set of four.

I ran a 4.5 Tekin 550 with an LRP sxx TC 2 speedo this weekend at our state race and my new truck performed very well. TQ and Win first time out. I had all the power I wanted, but it was smooth and controllable. The combo will be staying in my truck..
