When I used 60 g it was too much and since I run outdoor/ indoor with much bigger jumps the weight ended up falling off.

Wildcat im in blinky mode

I used 3m outdoor mounting tape (5 lbs version). I put some along the side wall of the chassis and put the lead in. This helps to keep it in by having the lead stuck to 2 surfaces and no glue is required.

lower the cutoff but not more than .2. You want to have some buffer for the current that 4 pole will pull. Motor temps should be 160 or below. If you are blinky then you probably need to play with your gearing. you could drop to 11 and try 12,13,14,15 and check temps. Then use the pinion that gives you under 160 degrees.

I chose to install two Reedy 4000mAH Shorty packs in my SC10 4x4 to add weight to the front. I don't have the Exotec chassis so I needed the 80gms like Maifield did. Two shorty packs are about 100gms heavier than the saddle packs so I figure that I am getting almost the same weight even though it is positioned a little to the rear. I removed all other added weights.
Mounting: I used the Factory Team upgrade kit mounting parts to create a new mount. I had to cut the post side down and drill two holes to attach it on the right side back in front of my speedo. I then cut down the stock stick pack brace and created a circular cut to fit under the post. Then I use the stock locking mechanizm. It seems to work really good. I had to add additional foam to the left side and added the pad underneath. Wiring: I soldered two leads to a 4mm female bullet connector so that the male from my speed connects up nice. One y cable for the positive and one for the negative and I am in business. 8000mAH with not much added weight...weight I needed to add anyway. I will weigh each corner and take some pics to show what I did soon. I hope to get 50/50 weight eavenly distributed side-to-side. |
