Thanks, doing a tear down of the truck, can't believe the #$^%$ in the wheel bearings, I keep it clean and oiled, but man is there some friction there, something to watch for sure, and a few days ago this thing was FAST, just shows you how much better it could have been.

Anyway, I'm going back to 20.000 front diff, 7000 rear, I have inside slipper locked and VTS outside, trying to find a little push on steering and work back from there, this truck has never had any push.

I have RPM a arms on the way, MIP shock bypass set, and a whole heap of other stuff, lucky I don't have to work on my other cars,

I got my new SC10 4x4 yesterday. This is really my first RTR purchase. It came with the FT upgrade kit. I have been out of the hobby for a while but all my previous trucks were KIT monster trucks. My last being the savage 4.6ss kit.

I got started on installing the FT upgrade kit and all can say is my lord! This thing is the most difficult thing to work on that I have ever seen! The manual is the hardest thing I have ever followed. I got to the point of installing the Steering Rack and stopped. Am I really behind the times that much?

Is there a good tool kit to purchase to make this work easier? Any good videos to follow?

The are some videos but yeah this truck is not the easiest to work on but it is pretty sturdy

get a electric screw driver, it's fun to manually do it the first time, but with maintenance... therapist and chiropractor costs much more than that.

+1 to the electric screw driver, but dont use a high speed, friction will heat the plastic and strip it.

It takes a lot of time to tear this one down for sure. My wife and I had a baby back in may and I close this truck because I new I'd be home a lot and I like wrenching. So this gives me something to do always. Crept I really don't have as much free time as I thought I would even at home. Haha lol.
