They are not doing so great here either. Most that have them here are either selling them off to get a Losi, or shelving it until next indoor season and running their Losi's outdoors since they bought both trucks. Most guys seemed to like them indoors better than the losi, but like the losi outdoors. Last weekend, the top AE was a pretty distant 5th.

. It was unfortunate my SCTE broke while in the lead
Brandon took the win with the AE, but the kid could win with a toaster most days. We would've had a good battle for sure as we were nose to tail till I threw a driveshaft pin. My 2wd outing was poor as well. Couldn't keep it together in quals, but managed a 7th overall in the mains.(still poor).
Round 2 should be fun.

Hi guys,
Firstly thanks to all those who has contributed to this thread, very valuable info here to assist with my build, Thanks!. I started my build last night and can confirm the obvious flaws like the empty diffs. I seem to have a problem that I need to get some help wit. one of the hd ballstuds part number 91049 came without a thread on it, first of all I thought I could get someone to tap a thread but after measuring it I discovered that its way to small already , measures 2.5mm and should be 3mm like the other has.
Is there an alternative that I could use from another brand?.
Does someone know if I could subtitue an alternative ball end stud and matching ballstud that fits onto the turnbuckle, I'm at work now and don't know what the diameter is of the turn buckle.
Just to mention I'm out in South Africa and our local supplier doesn't have the truck or parts here yet, I bought mine through Amain hobbies and just need to get going as it will take a full week if I had to order the parts to get here.
help please...
thanks

Basically if you want to get in direct contact with any manufacturer, it needs to be done by phone. Email is too unreliable. Corporate email filters out almost everything.

I also ran a Reedy Sonic 540 motor. I have been playing with the 540 setup for a couple days and finally got to run one of the new Reedy motors. Awesome power, low temps and great brakes. I'll be leaving that one in for a while!

Good, glad you got it figured out. I was pretty sure it was the servo. All you need is a good metal servo. I have the ace 1313, 1015, Spektrum s6040, Jr9100s and Orion Vds-1007. I love everyone and have never had an issue with any of them. If I chose a favorite, I would say it is the Orion.
