Yes, the 12mm ballstud would help greatly, plus you would need the carbon fiber C-hub piece to add to the hubs

I thought the 8mm mod was mainly for indoor clay high bite? This is outdoor. It has descent bite, but not as much as the indoor tracks I have run on. I am pretty sure my traction rolls are because I am entering the corner too hard and the truck rotates fast and catches a tire edge.

ok, parts list.

-12mm Ball studs. Front and rear?
-Optional Ack bar.
-Use 3mm off set JC wheels (wtb yellow though.....night racing)
-Yellow front springs.
-Rear 2.2 sway bar..... (cant find the sway bar clips for the rear 2.2 /cry)
-Antenna Mount so I can move my receiver (its next to my esc, and I think the esc is glitching)

DE Racing makes a +3mm wheel for the sc10 4x4 in yellow.. It's available at Amain.

You won't need the 12mm for the front, but I think they come in a 6 pack so it hardly matters.

How are the DE rims holding up on the 4x4? I thought i read that they were thin and cheaply made?

I have both...they both work fine. DE is a lil stronger.

I've been running DE rims for 10 months on my sc10 4x4 and a converted sct weighing 7 lbs with no issues whatsoever.

The 8mm mod plants the rear end under most conditions, not just high bite. If you need to lock in the back, try it.

ok, cool. since i have a set of JC 3mm offset, I will try those first. I am cheap. Hmm, so the 8mm mod locks in the rear, in under all med/high bite track conditions?

is it the b4.1 carbon fiber "C" for the b4 alum hubs? I have penty of screws and 3mm lock nuts, so thats all i would need? I also, have a b4, so not really wasting money if i dont like it.
This part? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-C-Tower-Set-2

Those look about right

SOuthernFRIED 07-01-2012 11:56 AM

I've been using the DE rims on my 4x4 and on 3 sc10 2wds and have not had a single issue.

Yes it's the "c" carbon fiber tower for the b4 that is used to complete the 8mm mod.

Wildcat1971 07-01-2012 12:00 PM

so 8mm mod with 7mm washers on the inside?

samuelsonmark71 07-01-2012 12:04 PM
