Craig, I actually had front blues that I swapped out for Yellows a few weeks ago. Just popped them on the rear for practice tomorrow. I currently have about 3mm of fuel tubing that I was using to limit the up travel on the shock. It is placed above the bucket. So the order is, Eyelet, bucket, fuel tubing. Will see how that works. Will have to check for ride height at the track tomorrow seeing as I am transporting two trucks both with their wheels off. Thanks for all the research!

You're welcome.

Find the travel limiters that come in the kit and snap one into the shock shaft between the bucket and the eyelet. You can set the ride height no problem without it - the problem is at full droop, the spring can fall out of the bucket because the spring isn't long enough.

You'll see what I mean. After you set ride height at 24mm, check it at full droop.

Thanks....darn it...

They shouldn't put this part under the list for the Factory Team Kit.

I'm not sure what he meant by cutting it in half, but here is my undercover body with a brace on it:

I just had to velcro the bottoms of the body as well as the sides of the chassis, the only difference I can see from the FT kit is the brace reaches to the rear shock tower, may just need to cut up the back piece a bit in order to fit.........

Hey guys i just recently got one and im loving this thing already. I went to my first race with the box setup and i was doing ok. The only thing was there was 4 trucks on my first outing with my truck. It wasnt to bad straight out of the box, so i decided to do some research and found a setup that i liked. I put a few tweaks on it for my driving style and wow much much better. I went racing the following day and i qualified 3rd out of 11 trucks (i know thats not a lot)and through down some of the fastest laps. I didnt finish where i wanted to but had an awesome time driving it.

That's great news!! It has been bothering me whole night staring at the brand new underbody... Thanks so much for the pic...(do you have a bigger picture? or a picture with your brace on?) looks good! I was thinking the same thing using Velcro on the sides...also...if it's really too close to the brace I will just move the underbody a little bit up (theoretically should be fine I guess) - it's only about few mm space difference I would assume.

Here's a couple shots during the day, and here's some I just took with the body taken off.......

The Chassis Brace seems to be in the way and the 2 "Clip holders" are gone. Looking at the Factory Team SC10 4X4 pictures and manual diagrams where these 2 "clip holders" used to be are replaced with screws to secure the carbon brace. Even if we can use Velcro to stick the underbody on the car, I think the chassis brace would still be in the way??

Because I already have this Underbody....I want to use it on the Factory Team kit.

Thanks.
Robert

Hey, I run the jconcepts underbody. without modification, it fits over my chasis brace (my design) no problems at all. Just food for thought for ya.

Glad to hear you had fun and enjoyed your truck!! welcome to the group. There is alot of good information here, you will learn lot's.

Hey Thanks a lot for the pics, appreciate it. Nice truck and setups by the way!

Just curious, using Velcro to secure this underbody, does it stay secured enough without moving or get loose

Another good news. thanks -- you using Velcro like "ilanstylz" ? Any pics? just wondering no worries if you don't, dont' want to create hassles.

It doesn't move or budge, only thing I recommend (which I haven't done yet lol) is to vent holes in it over the ESC because it will cause it to get hotter then usual. I only run my underbody when my local track is wet and muddy.........

Yeah, I've got some pics I posted a few pages back. I'll find them and pm you.

Interested in the front/rear spring stuff, but is it more of an outdoor/bigger jump/rougher track mod? No big unclearable stuff where I run, but better handling/jumping characteristics are always good....

Thanks for the tip! I will do that. Yeah I noticed you don't have any vent holes all over your underbody. I was planning to make 2 "outflow" vent holes for air to escape out (I think by design, there are 2 areas to do that on the body). And will do some vent hole(s) above the esc as you mentioned. I"m / just bought a Mamba Max Pro, hope it won't have a temp problem with the underbody on.

BTW - do you think we should drill some holes in the "FRONT" of the underbody to let some air to Flow In? I know this may defeat the purpose of the underbody avoiding dirt and sand but ... I wonder if it will get too hot inside the underbody.
