SC10 4x4 Thread
What settings do you have your belt tensioner at? If its to tight that may be the cause of the high temps as well.....
I would suggest checking temp at the track while running race pace laps.

no timing, just a linear throttle curve. im running duratrax 5000 25c lipo. could it be that im geared to small on the pinion ? i read somewhere that if the esc is cool but motor is hot then gear up or down, i cant remember.
i race tomorrow and i will def keep an eye on the temps. i have an onboard temp gauge so i can get max temps during running. idk if that gauge is off cause my hand held reads lower. regardless i think its safer to go with the hotter temp.

Raced the local outdoor track today. I KILLED my old track record with my new light weight set-up. 89.6 oz ready to run now.
I am running a Murfdogg 6.5 motor while Murfdogg is getting my 5.5 ready for nationals so I am a little down on power from what I normally run. So both of these runs are the same everything. One at 96oz and the other at 89.6oz. Lap times don't lie so check them out.
ignor the overall times one was done as ifmar and the other was heads up racing but look at the lap times. This includes dealing with lapped traffic many times.

Yes the truck drives quicker so I can see how others would like more weight to slow the flow down. I will be using my lite set-up at the race coming up.
