Quite a few, you have to take apart most of the front.
Speaking of the VTS, how far do you tighten yours? I tried the stock setting (~1mm of threads showing) and it felt smoother and the belt actually didn't skip under hard braking anymore, but the outside pad was glazing over very fast (15 mins of driving and you could use it as a mirror). I went to 1.5 mm, and it glazes less, but still enough to be smooth after 3 runs or so.
I'm running a 550 size 5.5t LRP X12L at 14t.

[shameless plug] The Murphdogg bullets are awesome. They don't have the springs that fail, and allow you to either solder them in straight or at a 90 or anywhere in between. I got some as swag, and they are the best thing ever insofar as this product goes [/shameless plug]
I did not run a multi pad slipper before I got the C-Diff, but I used the Garos and they did not glaze after months of use and the power delivery seemed to be more controlled.
Even without a performance benefit, they are worth it for their longevity alone.
Just a light sanding the Ae pads are good as new ...
Ae pads are designed to bring the best performance on the track ...
