I'll base my judgement when I get them, no offense but just because you swelled up two of them doesn't mean they are all bad, just like alot of people are starting to have issue's with the gens ace, either one can swell/puff/etc at any given moment........

I am "This" close to buying this truck. I used to race years ago both electric and nitro. Wasn't very good but a great hobby and way to fellowship with others. I went to Battlefield RC today near Chattanooga and checked it out. Dion, the owner, let me check out his truck and it is an impressive setup. I am leaning towards the SC10 Factory team kit. I want to know how to assemble and disassemble it. What better way to learn than to build the kit.

I do not have intentions of racing often as my schedule will not allow it but I want a truck that has the flexibility to do so if I decide to race. I have a feeling after I get up on the stand with 7 other drivers and have a ball I am going to be re hooked.

I am curious as to what electronics I should look for, ESC, receiver, steering servo (I want it good and snappy), I plan on going with lipo batteries so battery recommendations and charger?

Thanks for your responses in advance and I look forward to learning from all of you.

Def. go with the FT kit......

ESC's - Tekin RX8, Hobbywing 120a esc, Speed Passion, Orion R10 Pro

Motor's - Tekin Pro4, Castle 1410, Tenshock, Revtech 4XS

Servo - Spektrum 6040/6030 , Savox 1258/1256 depends on if you want more speed or torque

Lipo's either saddle pack or stick pack (FT version has option to use either) - Turnigy Nano Tech, ProMatch, Gens Ace, GForce

Charger - Hitec quad charger or if you want a single charger and much cheaper the Thunder AC6 are good

Same here. Glad I wasn't racing RC stuff this weekend...not thrilled with the expedience of HKs service.

The solution to parachuting? I take credit for this one
My truck:

Just vinyl floor safety tape i had around, duct tape should work fine. I was able to tape up cracks in the rear of the body also, will be testing it this weekend.

No offense, but how does that prevent parachuting?

Default Gear Box Smoothness

Hi There

While I was assembling the gear case with all gears inside, after complete, I turn the input shaft I find it will bind a bit while turning the shaft, and it will be smooth in other portion of the turning.

May I ask what may have caused it, it happened to both the front and back of the gear box.

Many thanks!

Here are a few more pics Moto, hope it helps. Worked well for me.

Trimmed the corner of my battery tray. I never installed the rx box when I built it. The tab in the center fin I use to run the wire from the esc to the rx with. Fits perfectly.

My rx mount and homemade BEC wrap and holder.

Make sure you turn the poles in on the esc.

Overall view before wiring.
