Meh, same thing regardless of who copies it. One person or company will design something and others will improve on it.

I'm just sayin

The PN is the same as the old gear cover, apparently it's going to be a running change. My LHS tried to order one, but got the old one instead.

On my SC10 2w it fits inside the stock cover. I used a hole saw and made the stock one big enough to clear for the 4x4.

that seems like a very unwise move have noticed that a couple times with the new ft updated part using the same part number, makes no sense, unless I guess you want everyone to buy up your old stock before you send out the updated version

+1 . Short of buying it local and seeing it in hand, and I don't think this is an item the LHS would usually stock anyway.

I am, but it's not listed yet. I can mark you down for the gear cover.

With my first kid on the way I've decided to part kits on the side for un-interrupted racing funds in the near future. I only have a B4.1 Worlds uploaded so far, but follow the link in my signature as I have an FT I'm going through and should be up in a day or two.

+1. I believe you guys are taking it a little far saying AE stole the ideas. AE has always updated every vehicle they have built with a FT edition. Just because guys are fixing issues in the field on their own and profiting from their ideas(which were all evidently good ones)doesn't make AE a idea thief for following trend. Alot of engineering went into this truck and it pisses me off to see people bashing on the truck because it was not perfect out of the gate. What has been perfect out of the gate for anything? These changes would have been made with or without the people who have contributed their ideas and fixes. I do not mean to offend any of the people who came up with a better solution for a completely new platform and you guys have my utmost respect but if anyone on this thread thinks that AE could not get the truck fixed without them is in the dark.

And once again, Wild Cherry George shows he doesn't know what he's talking about.
However, the new tabbed slipper pads should keep the top pad from spinning in the basket. For what it's worth, I do plan on making an aluminum version, just waiting on parts to verify.

First my comments were related to WC's comments about how only AE's parts are the superior parts when they are'nt . I understand why AE came out with the parts and used the ideas from here and elsewhere for improvements to there factory truck. I never bashed AE about where the ideas came from just WC's grandiose statement .

Wasn't calling any specific person out on this Dan and I do understand your statements I guess I am just a little grumpy today. I just wish the skeptics would leave the truck alone and go buy something else and stay off this thread. It is usually such a good thread and I would like to see it remain that way

There is no question nor mistaking that AE took the ideas/improvements from this thread and made them their own. It's actually something we should be proud of because the design was improved.

They do monitor this thread.

There are no skeptics here.

If you guys want the new gear cover, just call AE directly and ask to speak to Chris, he is always more then helpful and I'm sure he'll get you the right cover and not the original version.....
