There are only 3 in northeast Ohio that I know of. Everyone jumped ship and went losi or Durango. Oh well their loss lol.

How much difference does the exotek chassis make?

I run on 1/8 scale outdoor tracks and the exoteck helps alot, but its not a cure all for this truck, its just one piece of the puzzle, the rest of your setup needs to be really good if your gonna be competetive

Nvm coyote he is the residente a$$hole of this thread.

The chassis really helps keep the truck planted especially on bumpy outdoor tracks. I would recommend it.

still researching this. But, would defer to the experts on this thread. Is max flurer that good of a driver that he can win on a 1/8 style track that is loose, dirt without the exotek and no extra weight?

see setup for nitro blast:
http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/ca...Flurer_PNB.pdf

In addition, I saw him race at motorama 2012 in PA. It was a similar 1/8 style track on loose dirt. He only placed 2nd out of nearly 170 drivers for 4wd short course. http://www.rcsoup.com/2012/02/motorama-2012-results/2/

Hell, I would take 1st or 2nd at either of those events. Actually, I'd be happy just to get in the a-main. And he's doing it without the exotek chassis. Not sure about this.

Guys, I've been following this thread for a while and enjoyed the great info that's been provided. I really like this truck, but I'm having an issue with this truck at a local indoor damp clay track. As soon as I come out of a 90 degree turn and get straightened up for the long back straight. I grab the throttle and the truck is squirrelly down the 100ft straight away. Is this normal? I don't see everyone having this problem. I'm running a rx8, tekin 4.5 w/13 t pinion, shocks middle on top and putter on arms, yellow springs all the way around, 24mm ride height with body and ss JConcepts BarCodes on hazards. Everyone mostly runs slicks on ths track. Need help.

I dont know about max or how he won pnb, but i do know put against the best drivers in the country at the cactus race this truck didnt even top 5, and scottsdale raceway is not even a large track by any means, so really this truck should have been at least equal to the losi and durangos

What are you running for Diff. oils? I've had this same issue when the oil leaked out of the diff. You tried running sway bars?

No one said that you HAVE to have the exotech chassis. When you race for the factory team you have to use factory parts and figure out a way to make them work. His truck would have been better with the chassis for sure but he is obviously a better driver than most of us. You cannot compare him to the struggles that most of us have with this truck on large jump tracks, there are 1000's of us and only a handful of the factory guys. If YOU had an SCTE do you think you would have been any closer to him? probably not and that goes for most of us on this thread. He is a different driver and there is a reason why he is sponsored by AE!! Simply put , you cannot compare him or any other driver to the "masses", they are elite and we are not.
