Easier to just ask a question

Those are some good ways to refine a search. I'll have try and remember some of it
I actually have no issue with people asking questions. The search function isn't the greatest and if I think the question is silly or was just answered I ignore it.
That sure seems like a lot of work

In some instances it is more beneficial to just ask the question however, as this is a discussion forum after all.
The problem with pointing a finger at someone is that you have 3 pointed back at yourself. It's a discussion forum about a RC truck. It's not life or death. Chill out

Now BACK ON TOPIC!!
Anyways went out to the track and ran about 5 packs. the local low traction,VERY dusty track was where I was ran. Every change I made improved the truck's performance.
I love learning what works better, just wish i had more batteries. My radio was low on voltage so that was giving me some problems with the rx8 but other than that no problems/breakages.
Things I did that worked for me are putting 4mm of washers under rear ball stud on shock tower. WIN
Truck was pushing and not rotating around like I wanted to, so moved rear shocks inward. WIN
Added 15g to front left of chassis.(helped level truck when jumping) WIN (might add another 5)
Put on fresh Holeshot tires WIN
Lowered EPA on throttle on radio (turned powered down) to get around track easier WIN
Changed from old JC Raptor body to Proline Flotek body. WIN (didn't run the new JC body I have want to keep it for racing)
The best thing I did today was get track time in WIN!
next thing I'm gonna do is bump up rear shock oil. and maybe bring up rear ride level another 1-2mm for a little more on power steering and get a lipo battery for the transmitter.

Truck was really good yesterday too!
Borrowed some traction compound, Grip city!
It would nose down off of all the jumps unless I kept on throttle the whole time I was in the air. Now I just have to figure out how to drive
, only 4 laps off the pace.

I hate you all

my truck is still a shelf queen until my new esc/motor come in........ Lol nah but seriously its good to see and read up on how everyone is fine tuning their sc10's. I hope to be back on the track by the end of the week testing out some new modifications to mine, mainly the center stick pack mod as well as me adding the cf hub towers in the rear............ Can't wait

What esc/motor are you going with? Or is it a replacement?
I'll post pics when it comes, not that its a secret just that I'm still debating on getting it or not.... Will find out tomorrow if I'll be getting it or not...........
I had fun racing mine yesterday. Got to use my Tenshock 411 4600 and I love it. After running almost a full pack through motor was about 140 geared 12/62 and my SXX V2 TC was only around 90 like always.
Friday night I rebuilt my shocks back to emulsion 35f/32r. I've been playing with my setup since using the center diff for the first time last week. Before I was dialing out some of the turn exit oversteer and now I need more exit steering. First thing I did was move the rear hub back to the middle from all the way forward, which helped but still need more on power steering. I borrowed a pair of blue fronts for the rear, now I see what the fuss is about. It felt awesome and I can't wait to pick up a full set. This helped a ton also. Finally I changed my sways from orange front/white rear to white all around. All of these things helped but I still feel like sometimes I cant grab as much throttle as I used to in several places on the track.
I'm guessing I should change my front diff from 10k to 7k? I bought some 7k so I can tear it down today and try it out Tuesday.
I ended up getting 3rd, there were 5 trucks all fighting for position and I'm the only one of them that managed to drive clean and stay out of trouble. All it took was to stay behind until they pile up, and drive around. I ended up having more than a half of a lap the last minute of the race. My lap times have also improved a ton, from top 10 being around 20-21 and top 5 around 20, to top 10 being 19 and top 5 being 18. Feels good man.
