SC10 4x4 Thread
I tried the Tekin 4600kv early on and it was way over powered for my cars ability's, I got a 4000kv and have used it ever since, However now with all the mods done to my car, including an exotek chassis, it so much more drivable I reckon the 4600 might be worth another try. Has anyone moved back up already?

Sym, why the sale? Are you going to the Losi ? My bud Neil is at Motorama running 4x4 SCT with the AE. He texted me and said that he is buying the Losi . He is usually an A main guy, at worst a B main at big races. He is in the J !! Big track, blown out, big jumps. He went with the race director as his assistant, so a free race weekend. Says it kinda sucks to run this style of track with the AE. He is middle B for Stock SC. Runs the SC10 2wd.

can't argue with an xray product, best kit i ever built is an xray. it is an on road but if you like kits like i do there is no comparison....pricey for sure and parts/upgrades are expensive but they are a sweet product...
i put an sc10 body on my XTM RAIL and it was a mess, after the first 5 mins i never put it back on.
So, I have been thinking lately, would mounting the inner ballstud for the turnbuckles in a different spot make this truck handle more conventional (i guess 1/8 buggy like) on 1/8 tracks. I was thinking on the shock tower like typicall 1/8. Looks easy to do, and have multiple mounting points. I'm just thinking out loud here, and I want to try it, however I have little to no track time in the winter.

Also, with the lack of in air responsiveness, would running something similar to the slipper weights like xfactory has for their vehicles help? You could have one on the slipper, and clicker. Yea, it would put un wanted weight up high, but since we are adding so much weight down low, I doubt it would be noticeable COG wise.

Again, i'm just thinking out loud here, but what do you guys think?

I am in ESC hell right now!! My Hw will not do reverse rotation so I pulled my only working castle MMP ESC on my truck and it will not run without cogging to oblivion even though it runs perfect on my 2wd??? installed a bec same thing and even a cap didnt change, I can drive it but have to take off slow and then it is fine. I changed everything possible to get it to work right but will not. ON a good note ( i think) the truck does feel much different than before. There is a spot on my test strip that has a bump and normally when i hit the bump the truck goes into a bumper draggin wheelie and it no longer does that anymore. Do not know how that is going to translate on the track but something is going to be different for sure, only problem is it looks like i am going to have to buy yet another esc so it may be another week before i can track test.
