Who has the most packs through their truck? What does the long term durability look like for this thing?
I am one who loves to go to practice and slam down pack after pack. I know things should cool, and I do wait a little between runs. I take good care of my stuff I just like to run like crazy. I had a hyper 10sc that I ran alot and gave me little problems in the durability department (just handled like crap on the track). I will be running mine in a few days. Sold that hyper months ago in anticipation of this sc10. The rx8 and sc4x should be here today in the mail...cant wait! good luck and enjoy your new truck :) |

[QUOTE=SaladFork;9131699]It's durable... :lol:
so funny, looks just like the big wrecks I had during testing today. I saved the durability portion till after setup testing though :) |

I forgot to ask is the clicker locked or loose. The rear end gets squirly when on breaks whin the clicker decoupled. Try tightening it down ,then brake a high speed. If It moves straight, then it was just from the cicker.

The new shock orings we have installed are ridiculously smooth. :)
Testing went well as there was a very slight sign of wetness around the lower part of the cartridge (possibly due to the lube during assembly). Until I get these under a few more battery packs and through a few races I won't give them 100% approval. If they do pass muster then we will have them for sale on our site. Somewhere around $2.50-3.00 a full set. |
i had a shock on the front that would leak where the cartidge is screwed to the shock body. I took some teflon tape and put it on the threads, screwed the pcs together and then trimmed the excess with a razor blade now no leaks at all.

cvds
hey guys and gals, i seem to have been a little generous with the black grease when building the cvds and after a few packs at the track, they are getting caked up with grit. I can see this leading to failure, as I am a low maintenance kind of guy. has anyone tried dry chain lube like pedro's ice wax from cycling to lube high friction, exposed areas? I might try it and see how it works.

Yeah, I have the Papyrus video game based on that.... horrible by today's standards, but I still load it up once in a while to remind myself how twitchy 2wd can be!

I think I have a decent sway bar set up.
I used sway holders from my Xray T3 2011 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Holders-T2-008 Some parts from a Losi Ten SCTE sway bar kit. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Bar-Kit-Ten-T and I bent some 2mm music wire. You can even use set screws and yes the bumper clears. I just finished the front and will do rear tomorrow. |
