1.2

3x2block
Hazard Rims

Track was super sticky and was not traction rolling at all. But at the last 35% of the corner if I powered on, I would just shoot straight out of the corner as if I wasn't turning anymore. (250punces of torque and a BEC says I was still turning. =P )

I had this down before, but now it seems i'm starting from scratch. I'm okay tuning obviously, But I've never been keen on spacers and tierods. I never could really feel a difference, That being novice or not, I accept.

Anyway. Help appreciated. I can setup sheet the whole thing. If anyone's willing to look that much into it. Double appreciated.

Oh, and F-John, No: a LHS, not Hobby People.
copy my setup and you should be golden. you are sure its not slipping right? i cant imagine you losing exit steering with the dif.

It sure doesn't seem like it's slipping. But I am 'sure' I lost cornering speed.

At no throttle I can bust the corner's inside and throttle out 'straight' but that requires me to break the back end out and load into the corner before I shoot straight out of it. It's still fast but it's not what the truck is really for.

Your setup? I'll check.

You don't want to make it out of aluminum. It needs to be sort of flexable in expansion/tight in compression. The hollow carbon tube works best.

If you make it rock solid and hit something hard (like come up short on a triple) you're going to likely tear out the rear mount or sheer off the front screw, at a minimum.

How is it possible that every little thing ( modification ) is great, makes the truck more planted, better traction, massive acceleration ?

chassisbrace = perfect
pinmod = perfect
garodisk = perfect
2-stage pistons = perfect
saddle = perfect
balldiff = perfect
ackbar = perfect

all those things that AE havent come up with during the R&D in 2 years.
and that we here, come up with in 6 months and makes the truck perfect.

kinda makes me wander

Jeff said it pretty well:

I don't know but I can say for certain the truck was a bucket of **** out of the box with a 4.5 550 motor, and I was top 2 right off the bat. OTOH, my 2wd was strapped right off the trailer, and I love running it. My 4w is getting better, but I wouldn't describe it as good.

As I told somebody at the track over the weekend "There is something really wrong with all the short course 4w trucks on the market. Every one of them has a major weakness. Pick your poison."

Mine is much better now that I found out about a $10 fan.

Ok, I will have him use hollow carbon tube with threaded aluminum inserts in the ends. I still need dimensions if anyone knows. I plan to have threads on the end where I just thread on shock ends. Can anyone gie me an exact length?

It is pretty interesting seeing all the non-factory modifications going on for this truck. It reminds me of the actual factory modifications of the old JRx2. On one had it sucked that stuff was changing so fast but on the other hand it was fun to tinker with.

Kinda makes me wish there were forums back then to see things develop and get fixed. Even with all of that there are people just racing their SC10 4x4s stock and having great success.

With all that being said it still looks like a great truck in this first generation of short course four wheel drive trucks. I will be very interested to see if any of the modifications you guys have come up with, if any,will end up in the Factory Team kits OR if I can hold off until those come out.

Bonus of not being handed your race Truck? (not accusing you of anything)

You modify and know the truck like the back of your hand. Then when we get the FT truck? Watch. the. F^#$. out.

you dont really need a certain length. just mesure it up, and it does not matter if it is 5mm shorter or longer.
you will drill the hole in the chassis according to your length of the brace

This was posted a few hundred pages ago. CoyoteSlash kind of admitted this was pretty damn close to his "beta" version.
