My take is well I want to try the 8eight but what motor to buy? do I have to buy new batteries? thinking of ways to keep my costs down. Another RX8 and a T8, plus the cost of the buggy alone, is a pretty big investment. Sounds like though, it will work on what we put in the SCTE, you just wouldn't be competitive with everyone else.
I got a Hobbywing SCT-Pro ESC ($85), Tekin T8 motor 1900KV ($155) and 2 4S Turnigy NanoTech 30-70c 5000mah Lipos ($60/ea) and felt pretty comfortable with that. Though I have a stupid expensive Hitec 7955 servo (only thing available to me on race day, but I do like it!), you really don't need that much - you could probably use the same servo you have in your SCT.

You could come int a lot cheaper with a ESC Motor combo like the HW SCTPro w/ 2000KV motor Combo ($160 or so w/ shipping).

ESC Motor Combo

Lipo

Tekin was from Ebay - new, $152 w/ free ship.

I'm sure other electrics are good, but I've had great success and stick with HW ESC, Turnigy Lipo, Hitec Servo, and Tekin Motor and find they all come as a package within reasonable cost.

Pro 4 is fun, but eBuggy outdoors is crazy fun.

Default RPM Front Bumper

Got the RPM front bumper a few days ago, modded it a little.

Initial impression: it's beefy, and heavy. Heavier than stock. Cut down it's about the same weight. I think I cut off about 1/2 the material and added some holes.

Not a huge fan of the grill/front part of the bumper mostly because the screws that come with were all too long and had to be cut and I'm not certain they won't pull out based on the material. Time will tell.

For now I like it. Stock front bumper doesn't have much style, but is very functional. Aesthetically I like the RPM bumper.

Built in front skid is ok I suppose (I'm not a big fan of skid plates).

File this under "Great for bashers".

Did you get the front bumper because you broke yours or just to try it out? It looks cool but I guess the sturdiness comes with a price of weight?

Mine was doing that with 5 5 3 in it. I switched out to 7 5 3 and it went away, on top of that I added about 8 grams to the chassis right in front of the rear diff for more rear traction.

Well i will listen to you because you run on our local tracks, i was at coral today good day of running......

Question, had my center diff fluid actually seep out completely... i think it just might be the ae fluid i used, are you guys doing anything to the center diff I'm not? i have other Losi cars and my 8E diffs are quite similar...but don't leak....also they seem to be a little loose are you guys shimming them? I refilled the diff with Losi fluid and she hauled As* lol!!! Any help will be appreciated!!!
