I think I screwed the droop screw in too much, plus the truck is lighter now after all the TLR chassis and shock tower upgrades. So spring maybe too stiff and oil too thick. There was no binding anywhere.

I changed to the black front / Orange rear springs like Chris said also and used 30/25 weight oil.

See how I go!

Also check that your sway bars are not binding up the suspension. With the lower shocks out of the arm the arms should move up and down freely. These two things I find bound up on a lot of trucks I check out as people don't know to check them.

Also 40wt seems a little heavy for fluid.

What is your droop? Are your droop screws hitting the chassis. I would back them out so you get full droop on your shocks front and rear.

Just purchased TLR flex tune chassis and TLR tuning kit. I have been running pure stock for awhile and figured it was time to upgrade.

For those of you running the flex tune chassis - do you notice a big change in the way it drives?

Does a non pro driver acutally really notice a diffrence in handling like more steering or more grip ? I know club racers like me can tell a diffrence with a diffrent body jumping wise but not the other things really.

The body does look nice for sure !

still think a body just like the 5t would be best, whole open back, hell be cool with the roll bars too.

Hands down the best way, not to heavy and its easily fixed. The fiber glass tape is pretty strong. I do every body. Even did a bit on my 22 body (in the front, that slides under the front shock tower).

Also, if you wondering where to put it, grab a old body of yours and look where its cracked. Tape it, goo it and let it dry. Try not to go too heavy with shoo goo, you dont want to add too much weight to the top of your truck =)

nice pic. I talked to the JC guys about the cracking wheels at PNB. They told me they have stopped selling them for now and are reworking the design.

Wheel cracking. DE Racing - one snapped off (eventually), like the JC, the other 3 are cracked. ProLine - all 4 are cracked but not compromised; they have lot more meat around the hub, so the ribs keep it intact. Losi - the only wheels without any issues. Taking 1/8 scale jumps with a heavy truck (3S battery) will do that, I guess.

I agree with the durability of Losi wheels. Losi wheels have lasted a long time and take a beating.

My De wheels cracked within the first few runs.

I am trying AKA SCTE wheels for the first time today. I'll report back after I put them through some abuse.

I am running the DE Racing wheels with the 17mm hex and love them. I never understood why the 4wd sc trucks use 12mm hexes with powerful brushless power systems. Yeah 17mm is a bit of overkill but no DNF's from broken or cracked rims. The best part is that we as Losi owners have the benefit of running the 810 17mm axles with no modification or 17mm adapters.

agreed on the losi wheels, they have been by far the toughest and the stiffest wheels I have used so far out of proline, Jconcepts and losi. I just got a set of black DE wheels for super cheap from a friend that sold his scte and Im not too happy about hearing the above. One thing i did notice about the DE is they are very squishy like the PL renegades, it wasnt an issue with the PL ones for me i hope it wont be an issue with these either. I was gunna start racing again indoors and was thinking either PL suburb 2.0 or aka rebars. Anyone have any feedback on the suburb 2.0's, does the wider contact patch help? Ill be running on a smooth clay track that if they leave it long enough blue groves up very nicley but they never really let it groove up nice cause they change it up pretty frequently.
