what voltage are you guys running on your bec's...castle external?
I recommended the spektrum servo because it is the closest in spec's to the savox 1258 for about the same price. I personally like savox servo's and yes with the rx8 there is no need for a glitch buster but I still have one installed just in case............ However my scte has a hitec 7955 in it (came with the sct when I bought it), and I'm loving it so far, not as fast as the 6040 or 1258 but its not really that noticeable, but has far more torque then either one.........
Finally got a chance to take my scte out to the track today to compare it with my sc10 4x4........ I can say one thing driving my sc10 for about 10 months it was a huge difference when driving the scte. It wasn't a bad thing, but the scte just handles and turns differently then my sc10 and I just wasn't used to it so it was hard to control at first, can't really explain it but lets just say I love both sct's and as soon as I can start dialing in my scte just like my sc10 I'm sure it'll be just as great if not better.......

I felt the same way when I had issue's with my mmp esc, spektrum tx/rx, and savox servo was glitching big time. I added two glitch busters and it didn't work, I finally had to add the castle bec and problem solved (now running rx8)...... Then my cousin who had almost the same setup mmp esc, savox servo, but this time he was using his futaba 3pks tx/rx, and it was having the exact same problem my spektrum setup was having. So he also had to install castle's external bec for the glitching to go away as well.
It does cost about $20 more, but I figured that is what I would spend on an external BEC and with this configuration, I don't have to worry about the external BEC failing.

PS - I forgot to mention the power leads for the servo go all the way back to the Deans connector on the ESC, so it is seeing full pack voltage. This works out great on 2S.

Here is the newest layout now of the track:

I got an airtronics servo, mmp now and an 4600kv pro4 and have the dsm2 reciever I have problems where the esc resets itself every now and again under hard throttle, hoping it can be fixed, was running a rx8 but had to put it in my l8ight, plus can save a little weight also with the mmp, hope the glitch buster is enough or will have to go external bec looks like.

Put your good stuff in ur scte and ur 2nd ary stuff in your e buggy. Sc is more fun. Lol I put my mmP in my ebuggy with 1700 tekin motor good power and raw braking works better with e buggy
Infact I am going to run a MMP with a Tekin 1900Kv T8 in my buggy this season so I can keep the my RX8 in my SCTE
The MMP will handle being in a 1/8 buggy just fine as long as you dont over gear it . Associated has been using the MMP in their SC8e for quite some time now . And with the extra voltage the brownout issue is non existant .

only a 16t, was using off road tyres and a crappy battered turnigy 25-35c 5000mah pack, my mate got 60mph on 5s in a Hyper and another got 78mph with a built for speed HN CR with a Tekin system and 6s

If your running on a small to medium size track then your fine, for the larger 1/8th style tracks the 4600kv would be the motor of choice.......
