However my scte has a hitec 7955 in it (came with the sct when I bought it), and I'm loving it so far, not as fast as the 6040 or 1258 but its not really that noticeable, but has far more torque then either one.........

Finally got a chance to take my scte out to the track today to compare it with my sc10 4x4........ I can say one thing driving my sc10 for about 10 months it was a huge difference when driving the scte. It wasn't a bad thing, but the scte just handles and turns differently then my sc10 and I just wasn't used to it so it was hard to control at first, can't really explain it but lets just say I love both sct's and as soon as I can start dialing in my scte just like my sc10 I'm sure it'll be just as great if not better.......
I seen your track you run at.... You should set your shocks to an emulsion style it might help... Your track looks nice and smooth

Then my cousin who had almost the same setup mmp esc, savox servo, but this time he was using his futaba 3pks tx/rx, and it was having the exact same problem my spektrum setup was having. So he also had to install castle's external bec for the glitching to go away as well.
The other way to go about this is to use a high voltage servo. I am using a MMP and 3800kv motor and decided not to take the chance on the glitching, so when I ordered my gear, I ordered the HV Savox servo (SC-1267MG). It has yet to be on the track, but I don't expect to have any glitching issues.

It does cost about $20 more, but I figured that is what I would spend on an external BEC and with this configuration, I don't have to worry about the external BEC failing.

Robert

PS - I forgot to mention the power leads for the servo go all the way back to the Deans connector on the ESC, so it is seeing full pack voltage. This works out great on 2S.

Thanks for the tip, honestly I haven't even taken it apart to see what the original owner ran...... I wanted to try it out first before changing anything, I will be adding the kingheadz new center diff holder and upgrading the shocks with rcshox pistons. As well as change to emulsion if its currently setup for bladder........

Here is the newest layout now of the track:

I got an airtronics servo, mmp now and an 4600kv pro4 and have the dsm2 reciever I have problems where the esc resets itself every now and again under hard throttle, hoping it can be fixed, was running a rx8 but had to put it in my l8ight, plus can save a little weight also with the mmp, hope the glitch buster is enough or will have to go external bec looks like.

The MMP will handle being in a 1/8 buggy just fine as long as you dont over gear it . Associated has been using the MMP in their SC8e for quite some time now . And with the extra voltage the brownout issue is non existant .

Infact I am going to run a MMP with a Tekin 1900Kv T8 in my buggy this season so I can keep the my RX8 in my SCTE

hmmmm, you guys got me thinking. my l8ight is an oval car, but would really like to have an rx8 in the scte after trying the mmp in it, I figured by now I have the scte light enough it would be ok, and I was wrong

If your running on a small to medium size track then your fine, for the larger 1/8th style tracks the 4600kv would be the motor of choice.......
