I run the Hitech HS-7955TG and run it at 2S LiPo voltage 7.4v and so its faster and stronger than their specs. Sure it isn't rated for 2S on paper, but there are threads on here where Hitec employees chimed in saying it absolutely can handle it fine, they just dont put it on paper as they have models that they want you to buy for more $ to run 7.4V to them.

Im currently running the futaba r2104gf/ savox 1258tg/ rx8. No capacitor needed the futaba receiver is a high voltage receiver. This set up has been bullet proof. the 1258tg has plenty of torque and speed

i have used both the savox 1258 and XP DS1015. the savox was nice when it was in there. it stripped a gear and in went the 1015. no problems at all with the 1015 so i'd recommend that over the 1258. savox did replace the servo even though they say they don't cover stripped gears. i run it with an RX8/airtronics receiver and no cap needed. i didn't need a cap when i ran the savox with a hobbywing SC8 and airtronics receiver.

J & S. It was fun. Also good time to work on setup to see what I need to change for outdoor with my slowly increasing knowledge on set up.

I had to untread my front shock rods and im wondering do i just turn the shock rod intill its with the shock line intill the shock rod end is tight ? I tryed it and i measured it from the bottom of the shock cap to the smooth end of the plastic shock rod end with diginal Calipers and one was quite a bit off not sure why

Also one of the shock rubber boots teared im not sure why Losi still will not make thicker shock boots there to thin .

Just tear the boots off. They bind anyway. Not many people use them and they create more problems than they solve.

^1 LOL mine broke too the first time out. Snapped right in front of where those screws pulled out...I guess it is pretty common on these trucks.

Thankx again Bob
I myself have only run the 5150kv setup, but the reports from the other drivers that the 4500kv geared 1 tooth higher is pretty much the same top speed just more mellow on the bottom.

There are allot of things that go into jumping a technical jump or rhythm section on a track, not just power. Traction (not enough grip to make enough speed), setup (chassis dragging the ground on the up-face), driving line (momentum), and driving style all play a part in it. You would be surprised how little power it actually takes to get a car to fly a long way, and how you can get more air by just changing how you approach the jump.

It's just hard to say if one motor or the other is better / worse for a particular jump on a track I've never seen.

I would suggest the Futaba BLS 352 or the BLS452. Both are smoooth and fast with no need for a regulator.

To be fair the 4600kv is a little too much for the tight 1/10 astro track i run on in the UK, im thinking of going down to the 4000kv version, but apart from that it faultless and for the money its epic value for money
