Hello Gents! I just picked up another one of these here on the forum. It has a TLR kit on it. I would like to know if there is some instructions on setting up the adjustable hinge pin holders?

Looking at the tenshock sc411 motors anyone have any input on the kv? 4000 4600 or 5200? I don't like uncontrollable power, but need to clear some doubles and maybe a triple. My SCTE has a Rx8 and is mostly stock a few titanium parts but still fat.

i'm running the 4600 with a 16T on a medium sized outdoor track. it's a great motor. big power and still very smooth (i'm also running it with an RX8).

Track does make a difference, several of the tracks I run at are a hard clay that feel almost like concrete, tend to be a really abrasive blue groove. Those tracks love to eat tires and chassis.

I run the 5200 and the power is insane. I would rather have to much power and turn it down than buy a motor that is smaller than I need. Jmho

I'd start with 14T, and go up or down 1 based on temp.

I don't think anyone uses anything except the stock spur (is anything else available?).

What pinion are you using for the Pro4 4000 on a medium size track. I used a 14t with my 4600 so I was thinking 15t or 16t for the 4000. Sound about right?

That should be a good place to start, I have a 15 on mine and it comes off pretty warm, 165-170... But we have a ton of bight and I can hammer it in the corners!

Congrats! Excellent choice, and it saved you the time to buy the TLR kit and put it on! I have mine at 0 all around, as I have heard that is the "stock setup" and you should be good to go!

Yeah that's what I want but which way do you put the inserts in?

if you use the 0's it doesn't matter how you put them in. the hole is in the center of the insert.
