I think there is a difference between expressing an opinion and deliberately attacking someone or some company in the thread.

If anyone can't handle someone expressing their OPINION in this thread then it should be shut down ASAP. I like this thread and I appreciate all of the opinions that have been expressed in it. The attacks (for everyone that participated in them) and deliberate deletion of relevant information were across the line IMHO.

For the record I like my Tekin RX8, Tekin RS, TenShock, Orion VST Pro Viper VST, BCE, AKA, JConcepts and ProLine equipment. I bought and paid for all of it and I have a right to an opinion.

Now, let's quit acting like a bunch of 3rd graders and get back to sharing our OPINIONS on this great truck and the the cool gear we've been stuffing into it.

Come on man - stop it.

It's probably more like
Tekin = Red Corvette
Viper = Blue Corvette

They are both great options for our truck. Pick which color you like and with it (get it . . . ROLL with it!).

+1 To me color is not such a big deal it comes down to what I can get my hands on in my budget when its time to shop. I have a RX8 but I cant wait to try out a viper in this truck and move the rx8 into the 8th buggy and replace the castle thats in there.

I know the SC8 is unsensored so if ur planning on running a tenshock or cc 1410 u would be fine but if u want to run a sensored motor like the Tekin Pro4 or would like that option in the future go with the Xerun 120amp that I posted. The pic is the older version but they now only ship out the newer version with the Blue case which is what I got.

I've been very happy with that in my SCTE. I really like the 60A I just got for my XXX-SCT, and have not yet had a chance to use the 80A 1/8 in me RC8Be, but next outdoor season that'll change.

They're a bit more limited configuration-wise than the Castle and Tekin (which I had previously), but since I no longer run in a 17.5 boost class it really doesn't affect me.

In the SCTE I no longer need my capacitor while running the Savox 1258 servo, which is nice as well.

I too wanted to try something different, and 'downsize' a little bit. I'd buy another one in a heart beat. The price is right, and the quality and performance is just fine with me.
Yeah i got the Blue case also, they just havent updated the picture. Everyone thinks I'm running LRP until I tell them what it is lol

It's funny that you mention that because guess what the Orion is...yep its the exact same Hobbywing Xerun ESC that I am running only rebadged. Like I say, if it's good enough for Orion to relabel, its good enough for me and it has been an awesome esc, I just didnt have to pay the extra tax to have the Orion label on it
