What motor and ESC combo are you running? That is some pretty high gearing and I doubt it will work (temps) on 2s. Highest I have been able to run is 15t. I would probably advise against that gearing!!! When I run on a huge 1/8 track I run a 15t, other than that usually a 13t!

It will fit. Savox has a real tight fit though. Seems like it wont go but if its 25t it will just put some effort in it lol

The Novak Ballistic 4.5 with the HT rotor can pull those pinions.

well there you go i learn everyday
i am running CC 1415/2400Kv and MMPro SC Edition.
think i was "advised" earlier to go for these pinions' size with that combo.
understand though a 2S is a little on the low side for the motor but i am not really into speed runs.
idk maybe i am wrong.
any advice anybody pls?
thx,
V

edit: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH... feels like i am going to have to order different size pinions?

edit 2: found this on the first page:
Castle/Neu 4 Pole motors
Castle 3800kv - 13-18T pinion
Castle 2400kv - 17-23T pinion (20 tooth and beyond you need the ERC motor mount).

I will admit I have been slacking on the first page... I do plan on moving all that info to a webpage when I get a chance. I can not STAND the VB formatting, its SOOO limited without CSS.

And if anyone was looking to see how fast the VX4R51 is, here is a video of "The Crazy One" 5150kv 4 pole 540L, 140 all day long with a 14T.

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I tested the 1410 and 1415 this might help... Running the 1410 on 2S with a 18T pinion top speed was 37.8mph. Running the 1415 with a 18T on 3S (same gearing) the top speed was 37.1mph. Bottom end on the 1415 on 3S was much more powerful on the low end and better run times. To match the speeds of the 1410 on 2S you will want to get a 19T or 20T.

No clue what motor your running but I smell smoke already ?

EDIT; As I read further I see your running the 1415 2400kv, you could safely gear up with a 20T and be OK, Have fun !

dumb question but how are you guys mounting the pro-4 motors? I looked at mine and in order for it be mounted with the solder tabs vertical I have to use larger screws(but they don't fit the losi mount(do I need to rotate the front of the case or what?

Mine points toward the outside of the body at about a 45 degree angle. It's a good question, I need to get some other screws to rotate vertically.

very nice place place hey i live about 15 mintues away from there

our winter would be a summers day for you wouldn't it

yeh i think you would be fine with the 19T depending on track size even up to a 20 on a 1/8th track
