Hard to tell from the pictures but let me describe it better. The tail of the chassis where the motor sits looks bent. Can be seen in the pick. The center of the chassis has about a 1mm rise. Now if I remember what it was stock the tail where the motor sits should be higher then the chassis but as you can see in the pic the tail of chassis is resting on the counter.

I think I am going to have to agree with you, it looks bent. I just checked mine on the counter and the tail (right at the start of the trans) does in fact sit higher than the main part of the chassis. From the pictures it appears as if the very end of the tail is bent down.

I saw something posted a few weeks ago about +4 spindles and shimming them forward by shaving the front arm or something like that.

lol you didn't hear? it must be against the law or something to tune your own cars now. If it's not a "factory guy" setup sheet, then your setup sucks

all kidding aside, there are 2 ways to go here. get a base setup, and tune the car yourself. Or never learn to tune your car and always lose to those that do.

Honestly, even the kit setup is only a few changes away from being great with the right tires on nearly any track. My son who got a 22 for xmas is running the kit setup now and his car feels good to me, just not great. And of course he is starting to learn how to tune it.

I think the banana chassis is more common then most people think. Just replaced mine and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! My car went from dialed to 'can't quite find the right set up, no matter what I change' to dialed again as soon as I replaced it.
It turns out the chassis had about .060" bend to it.

We have the same type of dirt and their setups work well on two tracks here. I will change things to suit me, but it's nice to get the latest and greatest and to also make sure I don't stray too far from what the fastest people are running.

Default New TLR 22 owner

I just put my 22 on the track this past weekend and I have to say I like it. I have only been racing about two months and I am trying to learn how to setup my buggy. Does anyone know of a setup guide that will tell me what will happen when I change something. For example, what will happen if I change the upper shock position from the inside to the middle. Thanks in advance for the help.

JQ has posted a pretty complete setup guide here: http://jq-products.com/the-news/43-t.../160-the-guide

Forgot to say, don't mind all the nitro stuff in the guide, but most of your suspension stuff is in there.

Was this stated correctly? A HRC should limit chassis roll right? A LRC should induce more chassis roll... Sorry was looking up threads on the LRC/HRC and came across this and got confused based on the statement.

Thanks!

I cased a quad lol. Over and over. They changed the track a couple weeks ago and I was learning the new layout. Its a bigger jump then we have ever had. I had to gear down and add a lil boost just to make it over with my 10.5.

It has been running like poop the last couple weeks. I couldnt figure out why.

I think I need a new chassis and new outdrives. You can see in the pic my outdrives look all worn out too.
