I tried both, I like the Kyosho springs better IMO, I'm running yellow fronts and white rears. I was able to take the turns faster and jumps were a lot smoother.

I started on the Kyosho yellow/ white setup but felt I needed a slightly softer front spring so I tried a Losi Blue on front and liked it a little better. I dont think Kyosho springs are "better" than losi, I think its more of a tuning thing.

Why would you want to shave it

jamr1130, my bad. I said white fronts / red rears last week, but I just realized that they are yellow fronts / red rears. I got it mixed up with the white front / gold rears on my 2WD.

Why would you want to shave it that would weeken the structure of the bell crank i went with the hitech 7940 and it fits perfect plus it's got better tq

Anyone know what the internal ratio of the front and rear gear boxes is (ring and pinion count)?

Rotax125 04-04-2012 08:23 PM

Im pretty sure its 2.1.

NitroLuver 04-05-2012 12:40 PM

I have losi greens up front and yellows out back but it feels like the front is a little soft. running losi 35 wt front,30wt Rear. I think Imma try 37.5 up front and work from there.

Ok guys so I just order a b44.1 and I was looking at Mamba Max Pro 6900kV. What does that mean as far as turns is it like an 8.5t? I am new to electric I dont really know what any of that means and by the way is that a good motor Thanks for the help.

fastchvy 04-05-2012 08:55 PM

If you have alot of rc experience a 7.5 would be better and if thats not enough you can boost it a bit, but if your just starting to drive i would say a 10.5....I'm running lrp esc and lrp 6.5 boosted 1 level and its amazingly fast...

smittyusmc 04-05-2012 09:00 PM

Im not new to rc I have been running nitro for about 5 years now. So what turn is 6900 I was thinkin it was around 8.5 or 7.5.
